Thank you so much for this tutorial man! I've just got my first XenoPixel V3 yesterday and while I love all the ways to customize and the different features, I wanted a way to create a simple setup like the one you just described! My old saber I was always accidentally engaging the menu or other features because I pressed the button for a second too long. This app setup eliminates that!
Literally same mate! Got mine today and it’s all so overwhelming!! Can I set just one colour with the custom setup? So when I turn on, it just goes to that one colour I picked?
@@DankPlankSam Don't quote me on this since it's all still very new to me... But I think it will stay the same until you change it, but also the color will change if you mess with the lighting and sound fonts. So you have to reset the color to what you want if you change the sound/lighting font.
@@jeremyw2465 it’s so in depth isn’t it! I can see why they cost what they do with the tech inside it. Really clever piece of kit. The missus can’t quite understand it but it’s keeping me happy and out of trouble 😂
I felt a little frustrated because I couldn't use the lightsaber properly. You saved me so thanks a lot! I've Copied all your controls and feels so much easier now control the saber. Can you tell me please which control do you have for the drag effect so i can add it too?
What Xeno 3 now has more stuff!? I didn’t even know it had lightning block or melt. The app looks cooler. I just ordered two new Vire sabers with Xeno 3 so I am excited
Got mine today and this has helped a lot as it’s very overwhelming with the stock settings. Quick question though, can I make a custom profile but with one colour that I select? Do I “use” that profile and then go into the other settings on the app to change colour? Also when I close the app, will that custom profile still be loaded onto the saber?
If you create a profile with limited controls (no font change) and you manually select a font it will always restart on that particular font. Now you can customize the blade color and style, it will also memorize it. The custom profile is loaded on the app and transferred to the saber (any saber you want). First version would memorize it after restart. But I noticed some exceptions so I can’t say how this will behave with the updates.
@@thesaberfactory appreciate the reply mate, I’m having issues with the charging at the moment. It says ready after about an hour and will last minutes so I’ve googled what to do and it said to take battery out and leave for a bit then put back in charge so fingers crossed this works. So once it’s charged up properly I’ll have a play with the app and follow your steps 🤙🏻🤙🏻
It’d be best to reach out to support via the chat on the website. Check your adapter power specs and send this info as well as description of the issue. Some SOCs tests can be run once we are sure it’s safe to test
hey can you do me a big fav what is the default vol for the accent i changed it by mistake when trying to change the FOC settings then hit accent what sensitivity should it been on
Yes, but it also removes all the controls you don't put into the setup. For example, my old saber would bring up the menu if I held the button a fraction of a second too long (which annoyed the crap out of me!). Doing this simple setup removes the possibility of accidentially activating something you didn't mean to.
So I can use this to turn off color change from the saber. Great. Is there a way to copy the default config so I don't need to rebuild the whole thing from scratch?
@@thesaberfactory I meant I want copy the default config and turn off color change. But it looks like if I make a custom config I need to program everything
If I hit custom function on app it says need firmware update. Select firmware update on app says requires soldering. Ignore warning and hit continue and says firmware succeed, but when I try custom function it still says needs firmware update. Any insight for possible solution? Should I try update from MicroSd?
To update the firmware click on the firmware version number. The « soldering » warning is when you try to switch pixel/rgb at the bottom. Because the board can accomodate either baselit or pixel emitters. So … that’s weird. If your firmware says 1.3 you’re good. If you never upgraded maybe it had to do a gradual update, check your version
Make sure you have the least network interferences possible and if your saber has a low connectivity rating due to the hilt structure, remove the pommel or make the core visible and keep it next to your phone. It shouldn't disconnect. If you keep on having issues you'll have to do a manual update on the sd card.
@@andygee1138 Argh 😑 I should have explained. It's the same thing as "each time" and "1 time". HOLD BUTTON is timing the control. It won't produce any effect unless you release it at exactly the time you have set. And then you can have different functions using the HOLD BUTTON at different timings. HOLD is not timing, meaning after the defined time it will perform the action even if you're still holding the button. But then it also means it's not cumulative. No other function can be performed based on the same HOLD action.
