I am going to start going though different upgrades that have been done on this boat. In this one, I am showing the hidden windlass that was installed.
I decided on a Quick GP2 horizontal windlass mounted to a custom shelf in the anchor locker. I originally controlled the windlass from switches that were installed on both the lower station and upper station but found that I wanted more mobility and ended up adding a Quick RRC 902 2 button wireless remote
I decided on 25' of 8mm chain with 200' 9/16 rope. 1/2" is the recommended size but I had 9/16 in the shop which is why I went with that size. The anchor is a 22lb polished stainless delta type anchor by Quick
Let me know what else you want me to make videos of in the comments.

She’s coming along good! Im planning on dropping my 28 in at Cooleys ramp on Saturday for a quick float test after she’s been down for 8 months. Hope to see you on the water soon! Say hi if you see us at the sandbar

I'll keep an eye out, I've now moved the boat a bit more north to lighthouse point but I certainly imagine that our paths will eventually cross. You know how these boat projects go, there is just so much to do to make these boats right. What a joy to go out and use them after all of the work into em.

@@nicolasmabru 100%. I thought I’d be back on the water by the end of this week… until a screwdriver busted through the side of the exhaust elbow while working on something else 🤦‍♂️. One day!

@@BobHGarage The mixing elbow or one of the elbow that allow easier routing of the hose? I ended up eliminating the 45 degree elbows that were on the inboard side of each exhaust and making the bend with corrugated hose. if its the mixing elbow, great that you caught it before it became a bigger problem

@@nicolasmabru not sure if it’s the mixing ones. It’s the ones that drop down after the up elbow. I’d like to see what you’ve done if you were able to eliminate some of the cast iron stuff. I hate having it on the boat butbhavent found a more reasonable option yet

@@BobHGarage Take a look at this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gATxTlBe2X8.html from 9:43-9:50 showing the port engine. the part that the hoses are attached to is the mixing elbow. if this goes bad, you will be getting salt water in your cylinders
