I literally jumped in my seat when you placed your firearm on the table pointed at Hank. PLEASE be more careful, and maybe edit that part out. Too early in the morning to give me a scare like that. Poor Hank.That being said, excellent video and content. I’ve already checked out his website for a Father’s Day wishlist (maybe Christmas if we’re dealing with Coronavirus quarantine), and have shared the video with multiple people. I love this because I know what some people see here is “I can do that, no problem”. But see I make custom canvas stuff for boats etc on the side and I thought that too when I first started. He’s happy to show you all the details because he knows damn well even with that knowledge it would take a few years to get good. I laugh every time people say they can do what I do. I tell gladly. And that’s not saying anyone shouldn’t do what i do or what he does for themselves…. Quite contrary…definitely do it yourself. It just takes a certain dedication to really become that master that most people can’t even understand till they try it themselves… and he knows and I know that there’s nothing wrong with that, we aren’t losing business in fact just creating more… because you make something for yourself and it may be slightly imperfect but it’s special to you so you keep it and use it…. Then if you did a good enough job someone else asks you to do one for them but they lowball you and you realize the lessons are just beginning
@dillrepair
@dillrepair Год назад
TLDR: the ppl that got really good at stuff like this did so because of a drive to say they make a better product… for themselves and their own detailed sense. The honorable ones keep going on to be masters because it is themselves that they try to please with the quality first

Hank, 5 stars once again. I have watched this one twice and probably have another turn in me. So many people are afraid to share what theyve learned to their "competition". It seems Mr. Andrews encourages the next generations of craftsmen to learn from his mistakes and he is eager to teach. Thanks to both of you.

I have Mr. Andrews making me a Monarch Rig for my 92FS. I learned of him actually through the magazine Gun Tests this past month. I had tried two Galcos and just was not happy. So, I figured if I'm spending this kinda money I may as well get a hand made one. My only critical thing to say here is I feel it would have been a respectful thing to have below the video where you have all your "support" products to have all of Mr. Andrews Sites and contact information. He did have you there and was a gracious host.

I have several pieces of gun leather made by Mr. Andrews, and he is an absolute joy to work with. There is a bit of a wait, however when you get holster, belt, or whatever else, it is of the finest quality, and I would gladly wait twice as long. He is, when you order by phone, which at this time, I believe, is the only way to order, a jovial, gentleman, who genuinely takes an interest in you, and in how you will use what you are buying. Right now, I’m saving up for something new, and I look forward to speaking to Sam Andrews again. I could not give him a higher recommendation. Great work, fairly priced products,thoughtfully designed, and you will have a new friend as well. That’s value!

This would be an actual master class I would be very happy to pay for. Nicely done, to the point, and shows off the master in his craft.

My gosh, your voice is amazing. You may have one of the best American accents.

Wow! It looks like I wasn't the only one enthralled with his voice (sean Connery) but his excellent craftsmanship. Just GREAT!

Awesome holsters and if Shawn Connery needs a voice fill-in he should be the guy

"Trial and error, with heavy emphasis on the error part" "But I do keep a good supply of bandaids in the shop" "Commence the pumping" I could listen to this guy all day.

Now I see why quality leather holsters are so dang expensive. So much time and care goes into the making of them. Fantastic video, and like everyone else said, I'd buy a copy of an audio clip of this guy reading the dictionary.
