I remember my dad use to work in a massive room full of electric boards (not sure what it was) but I remember he used to put ear muff protectors on me when I was a kid and he would go in rarely with no protection and he is now partially deaf.

This is actually an important message. Young men pay attention, this man didn't think at the time he'd permanently hurt himself over a small inconvenience but now he has permanently damaged his hearing. Don't be dumb, stick the damn ear plugs in!

bro this would be so helpful i have this odd disability from a young age where i can barely hear out of my left ear and i was supposed to used a hearing aid even though now i still hate to use them, i can already imagine how comfy these would be

Have to double up with these and over the ear protection at my range, but they work really well and are comfortable. Worth it

After hefting a 9” grinder around all day on scrap salvage, any earplugs are better than no earplugs, even cheap universal ones. However it’s hard to deal with other people who aren’t wearing earplugs, especially when you need specific instructions, because they won’t raise their voice to accommodate, and it can do more damage to remove and replace earplugs all day with dirty and nasty hands

I have mental disorder called misophonia which basically means that certain sounds trigger a strong reaction, eg. anxiety, anger, panic, and these helped me so much back in high school.

I used 3M ear plugs and my hearing is just fine - said no combat veteran ever

I used to use these for drumming or going to the gun range they work amazing

when I work I use earplugs and bone conducting headphones, which work well together!

My dad found these a while back and I had terrible earplugs for trap shooting. Now I have these and I love them. On a side note, I placed first in a state tournament for Oregon this year!!!

It might also be earwax build up, I’d recommend going to get it removed, I thought I was going deaf in my right ear once but it turned out just to be a whole lot of earwax

I worked in a cabinetry shop for a while, I had some co workers who’d been working without earplugs for 20 or 30 years, you could stand right next to them and shout and they’d still barely hear you

I wear earplugs 10 hours a day 4 days a week, I found 3m nitro plugs to be wonderful but they hurt after day 2 in, these may be on my hot list

This is a real good advice! 👍🏻About music🎶: always wear my Pluggerz when visiting a concert or live band in a bar. (Even worse!) Still can converse in a proper way when using. A lot of people I meet complain about the DB’s, but are too stubborn to use this simple yet very effective way of protection... Some call me “pussy”, but I know better. And so a friend of mine has Tinnitus now: 24/7 it’s like hell for her...😫

The last of my career life was in occupational safety and health. I wish I had a dime for every time I tried to impress upon a young person at some industrial worksite the importance of wearing hearing protection properly. I've had tinnitus all my life, so I'm used to it. Still, it can really get in the way at times. Anybody who has this knows what I'm talking about, but my point is that noise induced hearing loss is often accompanied by tinnitus, and that's a terrible thing to have to adjust to later in life. And there are no take backs. It's like cooties. Once you have it, you have it.

I have the green had them for about a year and a half now. They work great and are far better than the cheap ear plugs.

They're made of thermoplastic you can buy a 1 lb bag of the stuff on Amazon for like 10 bucks it's really handy to have just grab them a teaspoon of it throw it in a hot water and make anything you want

Yes there are cheap ear pro, but you get what you pay for, and I'm a believer in "buy once, cry once" so I'll always direct people to get a set of Peltors or other high end electric hearing protection.

People neglect their hearing because the damage is cumulative and painless. You dont know its happening until its gone. I use muffs myself because I don't like to stick things in my ears buy i always have spare foam plugs in my range bag, case and in my truck. Ear plugs cost twenty five cents. Digital hearing aids can cost 3 thousand dollars.

Used these, I liked the Surefire more, or of course Peltors if over the ear is an option.

You only live once, and you only get to see, taste, hear, smell and feel once. You won't get any of these back. So why should we neglect our hearing. Very good product brother, but the beauty in hearing is unlike any other...

My solution to them being mildly annoying was to get ones that were both earbuds and earplugs. Can't listen to audiobooks and shit without them in, so I very rarely take them out at work

I feel you on the hearing loss went to the doctor and they said I have the hearing of an average 45 year old man Dosent sound that bad until you realize I was 18 at the time of that diagnosis by the time I’m 40 I’ll be mostly deaf it’s scary

You should have an ear,nose and throat doctor do a examination on your ears to remove any excess wax you may have.

i shoot trap for the hardin county hitmen team and i have custom mold decibullz earplugs and they are awesome! i have the limited edition red white and blue color i highly recommended these earplugs

This is I think the most neglected ppe there is. I never see my friends wearing them while doing all kind of loud work

These were great until I pulled up to a shoot and the tip had disappeared. Shoddy design and they were very loose, but the molding worked. Ended up putting 100 down the shotgun and giving myself hearing damage to avoid embarrassment. Not worth it, always have a backup

My hearing is shit from 20 years in the Army and not protecting it from everything else that I have done. My last deployment I had a RPG that impacted right above my head in the side of the this boulder outcropping that exploded into the side of a hill and that was the where my right ear lost most of my hearing. As I get older I have noticed how worse it is getting and I get frustrated when people are talking to me and I can’t understand what they are saying. I almost have to watch their lips move or concentrate on them.

Every time I take a test it says my hearing is fine but I swear if I'm around sounds that are too loud I literally get static in my left ear and i can feel like like as if there were a bug or something in there scratching the inside of my ear canal when things get too loud.
