I wore ear plugs to a rock concert once as a spectator and found it actually made the music sound better. Could still hear everything perfectly clearly since it was so loud but could not hear all the other noise at a concert that isn't music. Didn't go home with tinnitus either.

Yep. Concert plugs are fantastic. No droning noise getting in the way of the music and no ear pain either. It's definitely unintuitive, but ear plugs make concerts better.

Ive had tinnitus since I was a kid I found out that small ringing at night wasn't a thing for most people, since then I've tried to protect what I have. Now I work in aviation and almost every day I'm standing behind jet engines, so I always wear double hearing protection, Ear muffs and ear plugs. Most people just wear earmuffs and it drives me nuts. I'm glad too see videos like yours expressing the importance of proper hearing safety.
@matthewblackwood9653
@matthewblackwood9653 2 года назад
If you're just wearing muffs you gotta shell out for some *serious* dB reduction. I mean a jet engine is nearly as loud as a gunshot, but continually. My dad's got hearing loss and it was absolutely from his time as a aircraft mechanic in Vietnam.

I was literally just told TODAY that I will have to be let go from my job working at a dog shelter because the fact that I wear earplugs to protect my hearing from the constant head splitting barks that a lot of our dogs let out. I don't know what to say as this is clearly an OSHA violation so I did all I could so far and filed a complaint. Their reasoning is that wearing hearing protection makes me unable to possibly hear one of my co-workers being attacked by dogs or some similar emergency, which is down right ridiculous. The timing of this video makes me start to believe I am in a simulation, god damn.

I love the occasional "ahh my pkcell" I got real hard core into hearing protection after I started noticing some mild tinnitus. I'm in my mid 20's, I want to keep hearing good for the rest of my life, so I had to do something. A well-timed video entitled "Get some goddamn..." on the channel "Matt and Tom" got me to buy my first set of christmas tree musician's earplugs. I've since gotten some goddamn... custom fitted ear plugs and, while the ones I got aren't super comfy for sleeping, they're brilliant for concerts! I absolutely love the Earos Ones. They're really good for going to concerts. You can be pretty close to the amplifiers and all the noise well still protecting your ears and filtering some of the sounds through to your ears at the same time. They usually go for about 40 bucks a guitar center and come with two separate fitting Christmas tree style silicone tips. I use them at a festival this year and I was really satisfied watching St Vincent at the front of the stage protecting my ears and still taking in the music.

I work at a factory that requires ear protection (you’d be surprised how loud the clanking of empty metal cans are). I’ve tried and had to use the foam earplugs many times and they just hurt my rather small and narrow ears. I honestly don’t like in ear buds either. So I’ve had to use the over the ear muffs (luckily provided by my work, as are any ear protection) and they are so much better. Granted they made my ears sweat and produce more earwax than I used to, but comfort and protection wise, they’re great

I'm going to buy these to be able to test them out and see if they are better than the other options. I equally hate the foam ones, and the Christmas tree ones do hurt my ears after a while, and the building I currently work in, it is mandatory to have earplugs in. The add also talks about how only audiophiles know that they’re the better decision when choosing a pair of wireless headphones so I thought I’d put in a request for a review. The raycon video was a real splash of cold water for those who were looking into them as being a just as good cheap alternative and I feel like we could really benefit from a similar video with these. Find yourself a new doctor ASAP. They should not be ignoring symptoms like that! A good doctor admits when they don't know what is wrong, and then suggests / refers you to other doctors that can better help you. They shouldn't just be giving up. Source: had bad doctors dismiss symptoms because they didn't know what it was. Found an internalist DR who did his job very well and immediately knew some of what was wrong. For things he was unsure of, he made that clear to me and sent referrals to the appropriate specialists so they could diagnose those issues.

I work in manufacturing, I wore ear plugs for months until I couldn't handle it anymore. Doctor had to flush the wax out my ears like Dank described, and now anything being in my ears hurts the ear canal walls so bad; I couldn't even wear IEMs if I wanted to. So i've just been having to deal with earmuffs, which are so annoying with safety glasses and just don't block sound as well, especially low frequencies. So I should try these out, hopefully they work!

I've been blasting music in my ears for years in an attempt to overcome this, which has predictably led to tinnitus and slight hearing loss. @@swamppotato_ depends on how loud the construction is. if it's around whisper level then the happy ears will cancel them out, but above that it will probably muffle it which will help, but not completely erase it. one thing to note is that he'll hear his heartbeat, breathing and other body noises if he wears the earplugs for long periods, which can be annoying too depending on the person. you will be able to talk since he can take out one of the plugs which is very easy with the happy ears. I sleep super well with them myself but they do fall out sometimes at night. it's annoying since they're hard to find after because they're so small. otherwise it's a great sleep aid, but they do need to be worn some beforehand to soften enough for sleep wear.
