I find this guitar to be absolutely fantastic. It's uncluttered and clean look that makes me think of US automobiles of the 1950's . The chrome trim makes it all pop. Wish it was part of my collision. Keep up the good work. John

Hi Sofia, I'm not a particular fan of the thinline. but congratulations, that colour choice and your attention to detail, was great to watch, Gorgeous instrument, classy, and thank you for presenting a 2 part, not a 1x parts, so pleasant, just missed a proper sound test. And now I know, you are indeed left handed, but can sand with both🤣. Cheers.

Beautiful jjob, Sofia. Love the colour and binding. Brought a tear to my eye. As a kid in the eighties, I wanted to make a copy of Prince’s Hohner Madcat with my DIY-obsessed dad. At the time, I thought it was a Fender tele. Sadly, we only got halfway through the build. A combination of a lack of knowledge and resources…Dad passed away a couple of years ago. We lived in Poole back then, not far from you. If I weren’t in Brazil, I would book myself on a course with you and come and build one.

Gorgeous guitar. Very 50's looking. I can see a little 3 piece band at the Corvette Diner playing all the old 50's rock n roll with hot rods in the parking lot.

Well Sofia, that is a very cool tele! Something about the partially covered pickups with the rounded pickup surrounds. The white, chrome and the powder blue is subtle but oddly blingy in a way. Very cool! Thanks for sharing!

What's not to like about the first Electric guitar design. It's perfect. First time spot on and still going strong. Love my Tele.😉

Rickenbacker "frying pan". 1932. Rickenbacker Electro String. 1935. Les Paul's "Log". 1941. Bigsby-Travis. 1947. Fender Esquire/Broadcaster. 1948. It's a long way from being the first electric, or even first solid body electric. It can reasonably claim to be the first commercially successful mass produced solid body electric though.

That's a beauty; classic and contemporary all at once, and different enough not just to be a glitzed-up Tele clone, whilst also retaining the blue-collar Tele sensibilities. I'd happily play that!

I am not quite at the end of the video, but am enjoying the format a lot. At one or two points you saw Ben and someone else going about their work in the background, so it carried that just another day at the office vibe (which goes a long way toward selling the in person courses IMO) and there was what looked like a teaching moment when someone seemed to be pointing out something to Sophia when she was first spraying the body so a nice example of the free sharing of knowledge which comes through as organic to what you’ve built there at Crimson. Oh, and yeah nice guitar too! 😅

Ok, ok, ok… Sophia comin out STRONG with her first build on the channel. This guitar is sooooooo to my tastes it’s not even funny, love it! Literally the only thing I didn’t like was the lack of pickup adjustment screws in the super sexy pickup wrings, which is like the smallest of small potatoes. Well damn done!! 🤘

Very nice build. Looks great. Solid colours are the hardest to finish so well done jumping straight into the deep end. The only thing I dont agree with is the use of good quality timber on a solid body with solid colour.

I had a problem with a pad on the board and no matter what I couldn't get my new 22ga wire to solder shinny. A solid and stranded sets of Amazon wire insulation melting off and then getting some wire from Antique Electronics solved the heat issue but not the tinning with non lead solder. Finally have the option of non lead for my new Epi mods and lead for old amp and vintage guitar repair by going with 20ga stranded heat resistant auto primary wire from Napa that is not tinned giving me the choice of non Kester or lead. Hope this helps somebody

Nice work and nice looking guitar. Well done Sophia. In the final shots of it, it looks like the lacquer has crazed. I was wondering if that was an intentional relic thing or just something that happened and if the latter, do you know why? The first guitar I built, the lacquer did that crazing and i never knew why. I thought it might be laying it on too thick. It never happened again so i never figured out what happened.

There should absolutely be more employee build videos. I'm sure that the staff all have very different skillsets and preferences that would come out in what and how they build. Maybe start doing a video for some 3 month course final builds to show off where the students are able to get to im their tomenat Crimson.

Excellent work. The headstock looks a bit too thick which could cause neck dive, but it'd be an easy fix. However, ash is so dang dense and heavy that it may be alright.

That's a beautiful guitar! Not a colour I would choose for myself but not everyone likes the same. Absolutely love the fretboard. What kind of wood is that? Some kind of burled or birdseye maple or something?

Almost nothing about this guitar is what I would spec, and yet it's still my favorite build that's been on the channel in a long time. Nicely done, Sofia!
