He probably thought it was just your typical hamster wheel. Then he found out it was the hamster wheel from hell. The owner turned it on and probably left it on for a week. Reminds me of an episonde of Flash where one version of Flash was forced to run full speed on a treadmill for eternity until he ended up like the critter in this video.
My car wasn't used during the hottest mos last summer and since then i can't run blower from thumping. Found rat nest in filter slot.. but this is a game changer. I was about to open blower, now I'm getting gloves and lining the floor first. Never smelled anything, prob due to heat drying everything up quickly.
Mine had cracks and missing pieces and was vibrating so loud. Had to replace it. 1-2 weeks later now i hear a loud grinding sound for a quick second when i turn it on. I wonder if something got in there or if something else is wrong.
We just had this happen but instead of it being a rat it was a wad of paper shop towels. We had just taken our daughters car in for a recall and they called us to tell us that the blower motor was going out and they recommended having it done at the same time. We declined and they gave us a real hard sell on how it would be cheaper if we just did it now while they had the dash apart since the labor would be about half. Again, we said no and sure enough when we picked up the car the blower motor was making noise. So, I decided to do the work myself and after taking the whole dash apart to get to the blower motor I found 4 paper shop towels wadded up and shoved in the fan assembly. After removing the towels, it worked fine. When I went back to the shop, they told me that we must have left the paper towels on the dash, and they got sucked in. Only problem, the air inlet comes from the engine compartment and there is also a cabin air filter. But what was really funny was that the technician had used paper towels and one of them had notes written on it and the handwriting on the paper towel easily matched the notes attached to the estimate the shop gave us. After showing them that they told us he must have left them in there by accident when he was looking at the fan and that by doing so, they must have knocked something loose and actually fixed the problem for us. LOL! Sure thing, and I have a bridge in London to sell you on the cheap.
Had the same issue. A buddy of mine worked on it. He opened it up, grabbed something out and chunked it and put it back together and said, "Fixed it." I asked, "What did you just throw out?" He said, a rat lolol
I literally just had this happen to me tonight, the interior of my truck started violently vibrating like the space shuttle Columbia. Took apart my blower motor and found the same thing! Stupid mouse
I got really low air blower I open mine up and there was a mouse nest. the whole thing was Full of leaf paper, I vacuum everything out luckily he’s not in there.
Omg! I just cleared a rats nest from where my cabin filter should've been. Now I'm looking at how to open the blower to get out whatever's making noise in there. THANKS. As if I wasn't already freaked out enough!! Eh- HEH!
I had three in mine. They threw it off balance while I was away from the house and broke the mounting brackets. Thankfully other than that it was all fine
Don’t for get to tell your costumer that when this happens many times the blower after you clean it will burn after a few days. This happens so , I’m pretty sure there is a reason but just say “ after we clean this fans they tend to burn days later.” Cover yourself from buying a new one.
No critters in mine but the motors that run the squirrel cage are of poor quality but expensive to replace. They run quiet for a few seasons but after that they get noisy. I removed my blower motor and gave it a solid cleaning and lubed up everything. It's still noisy. I wish that I could replace it with a better quality part.
In my case my blower was vibrating loud because it was cracked and missing a bunch of those plastic things. Replaced it now its fine. But now i hear a new ac noise 😂 just had the damn compressor replaced. Then the blower. Now another damn problem
My complaint is that a roach smell comes out of my ac. We saw a roach in the car a couple of times before this. How can we open up the dash to check? Update: I found a little but stinky leaf 🍃 inside of the blower cage. I attached a bendable tube to the shop vac and was able to suck it out. It smells much better in there now. I just need to replace the ac air filter now.
I am searching at RU-vid that why I was thinking I got Honda Pilot Touring 2009 probably inside under a fans at air conditioner I can smell dead mouse really bad smelly I will check it my SUV. Thank you for sharing.
Omg! What was that a bird? Or a baby squirrel??? Shit, we got a loud out of round sounding noise instantly after starting the truck after filling up with gas today. We’re afraid to look now
