I have easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials "do it yourself" (DIY) videos to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers and zero turn mowers.
I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.
Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed whacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, zero turn mower, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.
My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.
I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.
I have the largest Small Engine Repair Video Library on RU-vid and the entire internet with over 1200 videos, just GOOGLE "DONYBOY73"!

One of my neighbours did this very thing with their snowblower...except it was a woodruff key...and just like magic...it disapppeared completely. It always amazes me how much strength those keys have and how much torque it takes to shear them off. They really are the KEY to a lot of equipment turning shafts with gears, wheels etc. Thanks for reminding us sir with another informative video.

Got a well maintained similar Craftsman with a double bagger (v-twin engine) with new rear wheels for his asking price of $100. Both flywheel keys were probably lying somewhere in his driveway. It also helps on the rear wheel axle cover caps, to pack the inside of the inside of the cap with some silicone based grease, enough so that when you snap them back on that it just barely squeezes a tiny bit out. As the parts inside of the cap are not rotating, and the cap in relation to the axle also does not rotate, the grease will then act as a barrier to debris and water, so the washer, clip, and outer axle and wheel hub don't rust. Even with never--seize on the axle shaft and inside of the wheel hub, if the axle tips rust, along with the washer, clip, and face of the hub, its very hard to pull those wheels

Hi Dony. I have 1997 MTD 12.5 hp yard machine and my problem is the deck spring that fell off when I was mowing my yard and I have tried to find where it fell off from the deck but no luck so far and I went online to find out where it belongs but no luck . The deck has 2 spindles with belts mounted on them and also the belt is routed to the engine pulley so this spring puts tension on the belts so the blades work. Hopefully you can help with this problem. Thank you for any help you can offer.

What is the difference between antiseize and grease? Just asking..
@canoetipper019
@canoetipper019 17 дней назад
Grease would work here too, but anti-seize doesn't break down as fast. Grease tends to "dry out" faster too. CATION: If you get a small bit of anti-seize on your finger and try to get it off with a rag...it may get smeared all over your hand...up your arm and all over your face...even if you didn't touch your face...it just will...OKAY...maybe that last part is a little exagerated but it will spread pretty good. That's why anti-seize works good in this application. 😁
