Many of the installations I've seen on this channel are downright dangerous. Here in Chicago the owner would be spending time and money in housing court over B.S. like that. And if your tenant didn't drop a dime on you to the inspector, your neighbor would! Believe it!
@@michaelbuxton9368 my guess is a lot of these customers don't want to pay the full and proper service either. They probably complain about the discounted job.
Oh Curtis!!!! That yellow & black fan is hurting me eyes, especially being surrounded by red & black! Haha, great job again as per usual. Love watching video, and try to stay cool!
@@m9ovich785 Not really. Curtis stuck something in there to turn the new fan blades to make sure they wouldn't hit anything. He didn't bend any vents either.
You'd think people sitting around in a trailer all day doing nothing could at least wash their siding. I mean take just a shred of pride in your home's appearance.
Those heat shrink weatherproof crimp connectors are a nice upgrade to the cheap ones that vibrate and rust off every 6 months. They melt and glue themselves sealed tight around both wires on either side. Also then you don't need the electrical tape. Highly recommended.
When tried to talk to customer wat hapened she just kept saying wats that meen I finally gave up and said the technical word for it is its junk funny thing is she understood that
Sad to say, I have seen worse electrical gear than that. but not by much. They REALLY need to get that replaced before they either have a fire or the AHJ red-tags it and they have no power.
HVAC is a great guy and I love watching his videos. I would however never leave wires sticking out of the top of the fan cage. It is asking for trouble. I know he did it to keep the wires from getting into the fan but he should have secured them under the cage out of the way of squirrels and kids.
Yeah I would have pulled the wires back and checked that they were not also spliced where they were shoved through the top. Takes more time but I am guessing the wires right out of the motor were already brittle and he did not want to do any more damage and have to replace the entire motor. Still it would have been nice to see the wires sticking out of the top addressed.

Looks like the feral kids have been busy. Lovely.😂
I think she needs an electrician next, that can't be safe. ...but you're absolutely right about everyone needing a bucket of wires. In my case it's a box of cables, but same idea. Computer cables are like coat hangers; left in the dark, they will breed. In fact, I need to clear out some more offspring. Your bucket might need the same!
That's weird had one the other day the conduit from motor broke loose and fell down locking up motor the costumer let it run till the compressor stewed in its own juses and loked up the damn thing must have been jumping of the pad
I'm a dummy, but I would have straightened that fan out. You did it the right way. Those splice connectors sure do come in handy. Someone, preferably an electrician needs to redo those boxes on a good pole or something. Not your job, you did yours and did it well.
@@daddygc5814 You are probably right, but I have straightened blades before without issue, on my own stuff. I keep forgetting that when you are doing someone else's stuff, you can't just try different things and jury rigs.
Well that property is what you call living the American dream 💩 We call ourselves the greatest nation on earth and people live like this. I know education goes a long way. I'm proof of it. Still makes me sad to see this.
Please consider a cover or large umbrella in the rear of your van. I have been there ,the sun will fry your brain. Love your videos keep up the great work you do
My inlaws live in a mobile and oh my. Just about shy of this setup. They live a different life and can't find their way out of a paper bag. Even after discussing the basics. Nice work. Keep on. I turned my swap out on and it is sublime. My old r22 system was loafing along for the 9 years we lived here. I didn't know anything and didn't want to touch it previous. I just had to throw it away. Inverter is super quiet compared to any standard looking outdoor unit.
I can definitely tell my neighbor what's wrong with his unit. In the last month its been a condessor fan, high head pressure and then locked compressor. He's nearly deaf but all confirmed by the techs that came out. Even donated the hard start that got it going on the last call 🤣
Need a big can of mosquito fogger?!! The big wad of wires stick out the top of the grill making it easy to check motor voltage!! You try and leave the equipment in better condition than what you found it?
You could have checked the amps on the fan nameplate and running.... because the larger fan blades could have overloaded the fan motor, causing it to heat and possibly overheat after running for a while. If the running amps are equal or lower than nameplate, it is ok
The condensor is well taken care of like the rest of the place. What a mess. I don't understand how people live like that. It doesn't take money to get out and clean things up. I wouldn't have left that wire sticking out the top. Just reflects on you, even though you didn't do it. Also, I hope you pulled those weeds out of the coils. They will continue to wind around through there. I guess with you dealing with so many poorly maintained units, you get tired of doing their maintenance. Love the bucket of wires. Makes total sense to me. I have a bucket of screws. I can always find what I need in there. 🙂
I work in IT and we once had an entire data center go down because a fan blade caught a wire, shorted and tripped the main breaker for the whole facility. Janky!!
Pardon my ignorance here.. legit dont know.. how does a tenant call in for a repair on something they dont own? Do they have to get the land lords approval on a repair or do they just pay it(the tenant that is)..
Something sure done a number on the fan blade. That sounded like an ICP with a Bristol compressor 😅. Great job as always! Sounds like it’s about time to take on some extra hydration. Forecast is calling for 80’s here toward the end of the week. That’s hot for up here
I hate poison ivy oak all that stuff I had one time went to the doctor for it was on my forehead and Jaws he said this to me how the h,ll did you get poison ivy like that me and my brother were burning bush he told me that if I wasn't wearing glasses I would got it in my eyes from the smoke 😮
A good technician would have replaced all of those missing screws so the unit isn’t falling apart. Come on man, I expect much more of you than that. If you’re going to work that way, don’t even video it. You’re just making yourself look incompetent.
