0:39 Customer States "I hit a bump and now it's a little noisy"
0:53 This was the 3rd engine in under 4 months classic Lincolns
1:12 “It only just started making this noise”
1:17 Customer States "my brakes are a little stiff"

The first honda cr-v had a lever on the transmission you could remove a small bolt turn the lever and reinstall the bolt in another bolt hole four inches away and tow it anywhere but not on today's vehicles. A lot of the vehicles you see on these channels with flat tow damage...are also not meant for flat towing!! Typically, only certain 4wd vehicles, with good t cases, that can be put into neutral. There's an annual list compiled by an RV publication, of all the "dinghy" approved vehicles

@@LEOhopeful yep you're exactly right I've been towing for over 40 years and I've seen many of these. Very few can be flat towed. @michaelvarble4392 Год назад
@@LEOhopeful if people would take the time to read the entire owners manual it shows you everything you will ever need to know about the vehicle. Mechanics use these manuals for fuse location relay location. A prime example is a Mercedes that gets a flat tire the wheel is aluminum and about 2 inches thick the spare wheel and tire is a steel space saver spare about a half inch thick the manufacturer supplies a different set of lug bolts for the spare tire so if you use the wrong lug bolts it does about a thousand dollars worth of damage to the brakes and electronics. There is also instructions on the decklid. It's amazing how many people remove the owners manual and leave it at home because of so much junk in the glovebox. This is what you get when there is no regular mandatory safety inspection. I realise this varies by state and items such as emission can be a pain, but this situation of low/no maintenance compounded by owner ignorance is essentially third-world. Plus sharing the road with these poorly serviced vehicles puts other drivers at risk, essentially accidents going somewhere to happen. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit

2:25 Ummm...that's not the engine oil pan. That is the front differential case. Maybe the oil pan is directly above the diff and it is oil running down the diff but it looks like gear oil leaking from the diff. In that scenario, the engine will be fine, but the differential will blow soon.

@rustler08
@rustler08 Год назад
They're very good, they just never caught on. Especially because Nissan's early ones were garbage while others ones by Toyota, and even the later Nissan ones, lasted as you'd expect a transmission to last. That, combined with the lack of shifting freaking people out, makes it a technology that is far ahead of its time that people right now just can't wrap their heads around. After all, forget 10-speed transmissions: the car with a CVT could be perfectly tuned with the "infinite gear ratios" to maintain the perfect RPM for either efficiency or power, depending on necessity.
@randycarter2001
@randycarter2001 Год назад
@@rustler08 My greatest fear is they transfer the power with friction. That belt and pulleys are going to wear. When they do they going to slip. If the power isn't getting to wheels its going into heat.
@bryana7163
@bryana7163 Год назад
@randycarter2001 Oh, yea its the belt links. I was wondering what those parts were. @rustler08 how many gears do you really need though. Its like how bicycles kept going up from 10 speed to 20 speed, and then 27 speeds. At a certain point you lose too much power just shifting around trying to find the perfect ratio. No one drives like that, even on the freeway.
