Hey Steve, sorry to keep bothering you. I just can’t figure the glitching on my gh6 when zooming and sometimes image glitching when just walking. I tried the metering modes and nothing. I do have a ND CPL on the lens (kit lens 12-60) I attached a video and you can see right at the start what I’m talking about. Lmk if you have any recommendations. Hey, no problem at all. I was watching it through in 2160p on my laptop and it looked good. I think what is happening there is that your AF is trying to refocus as the camera zooms and the frame changes. I assume you use full area AF for these types of videos, if that is the case the camera will hunt for focus a little as you zoom. I appreciate this isn't always possible but for zoom shots, I tend to zoom in, lock focus, switch in to manual and then zoom back out (or vice versa) and then just switch AF back on when I am done. Do you have any timestamps for other glitches?

@@stevelitton Thank You Steve! I kind of thought that with the AF. I think from now on I’ll just zoom in on what I want to focus on. Yes I am using full area. I’m going to try my 8-18 to see if it does it still just out of curiosity. I didn’t want to attach my video to your comments but really had no other way but to let you see it. Please Delete it. I trust your advice. Thank you again I truly appreciate you looking at it for me.

Why do these camera companies not allow you to simply change the function of those dials to whatever you want and without having to activate any other mode like on Lumix? My Sony didn't allow this either. If you use manual focus lenses and full manual control, an obvious choice would be firstly shutter speed which you can do but then ISO would be a logical second most important function for the two main dials. I set ISO to the lower back dial on Lumix but not so quick to instantly change. One of the two main dials becomes redundant in full manual use.

Yeah it's a shame you can't do that. I think as a general rule they don't let you change the functions of labelled physical dials and switches. I guess this is to avoid confusion for users, especially during resale or rental.

@@stevelitton I've just been out today with a Lumix S1. I'm moving from Sony due to many problems I've had with their cameras and the S1 is my first attempt with Lumix. It's a bargain second hand. Probably due to Panasonic's older contrast detect auto focus but that doesn't bother me much. It has an awesome 5.7 million dot EVF which is great for manual focusing lenses. It's a bit big and heavy but the IBIS is so good I hardly even need to take a tripod. It can probably replace a gimbal at times as well. It's taking me a while to adapt but I'm loving all the features on the Lumix cameras. It seems that Panasonic don't cripple their cameras but pack as much as they can into each model.

Nice, I haven't had much experience using the S1 but it looks like a great camera, especially for the money. Yeah the IBIS on the Lumix cameras is a big selling point, I still use my gimbal but it allows me to get some lovely stable tracking shots without it. I think its a double-edged sword, they through in the kitchen sink, which is great for some people and just too confusing for others. Thats really why I started this tutorial series, to show people what their camera is capable of if you dig a little deeper.
