Me and my brother are planning to start this kind of business since he loves shoes and I love art. I'm really glad I saw this video of yours gunna keep watching some of your works and hope for the best. 😊
To answer the SD Card question, the card removes the directory to the file. The file can still be recovered and is still on the device, until it is overwritten by a new file needed to fit that slot. In other words, it stays there in some way until replaced. It's just lines of code that are written over essentially
Thank you for such information ... I'll definitely try to customise my shoes ....aa i m just a starter ....i show lots of your videos ....great explain specially for beginners....love and Support from India ✨
That binging tip was such a help for me learning my style. You and marko really give a good feel to your work, but for anyone who may still have trouble, look at more than just shoe art. I found a lot of my style from keith haring. Your style can be found anywhere
I am staring my own custom shoe business and I am so grateful to have found your channel. You are so thorough on your explanations and give amazing tips and real life advice . thank you so much and God bless you and your business
I would like love to start customizing shoes, but I'm kinda scared that I wouldn't improve like that I run out of ideas and all and that's why I hella don't know if I should do it even tho I really want to
Honestly I think ur own creativity will come as u practice... Plus u can grasp different ideas from this channel or other channels and combine their ideas with ur own mix... Kinda like sampling a song...
1. tips for someone starting out with a airbrush. 2. after using the angelus paint pens do i still apply finisher? 3. does angelus paint work on vans fabric?
Thanks for the Instagram tips! I literally just redid my Instagram a couple weeks ago and (unrelatedly ordered Angelus paints today actually. I've wanted to try Angelus for so long, I'm grateful to now be able to afford them. I can't wait for them to arrive so I can start creating.) Ps You have such helpful tips/tricks I think I'm just gonna binge watch this channel to prepare.
yo quick question (newbie here), I went shopping for everything and forgot the get the matte finisher. Can I paint today and in a couple days when it arrives apply the matte finisher? Like everyone i'm quarantined at home and can't just go to the store.
I'm going to start doing this... I don't have many of my own pairs I can practice on.. So what I'm gonna do is go to Walmart and buy those cheap 5-10 canvas white slip ons and practice with those.. Just thought I'd share my idea with any new comers 👍
I'm sure you've covered this before in the past, but where would an artist have the most success selling their customizations. Do you start your own website or use a popular platform like Ebay?
Ik it's super late, but to answer the question at the start, basically when you delete something, it just tells the computer that the data that was there can be overridden, destroying the previous data. So when you delete something, it's not truly gone until you refill that part of the storage again
me: *watches this video after failing to do shoe art* step 1: practice on old shoes me: *looks at the new pair of shoes I ruined because I painted on it* .... ...whoops
As the business grows as a customizer, what kind of business needs to be set-up for taxes? Sole proprietor, LLC, corporation? right now it's only me, can buying paint and supplies be written off for taxes? When creating customs for larger organizations and such some type of business is required, I'm just wondering which one is better as a solo artist in this industry
So how you’re taxed will be the same for all of those, yes your supplies are write offs. I imagine which one you choose will solely depend on the size your business and where you see it could go.. yes anytime you’re working with a bigger organization they’ll send you a w9 to fill out so will need a business id for that.. you can set most of this up at your local bank for not that much..
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Man thank's for the extensive replies, really goes a long ways for these type of questions. I sincerely see your channel moving forward to a place where these questions can't always be answered so I'm really grateful. Much love sneaker fam!
It’s very important that you’re paint is applied in incredibly thin layers when painting toe boxes, and for the most part anytime you can avoid even painting highly creased areas and rather incorporate the original color into your design is super ideal!
Hey! I’m 16 years old and I just started customized shoes, I did the red LV custom and it came out perfect! I’ve posted the shoe literally everywhere and I haven’t got a sale yet😕 but I’ve been promoting it on my snap and my friends are gonna start buying but other than that how do I sell!
I got a pair of Black Air Force 1s high top never touched do I do like a black drip and sell them for like 40+ the normal cost? Actually, I have 4 of them ;-; I like them a lot.
(I’m a newbie)I have old converse and I wanted to paint the entire shoe with FolkArt Acrylic Paint. What can I put over the paint so it doesn’t crack?Or should I use another paint(if so what cheap paint can I use)?please help
What other paints can I look into? Angelus is obviously the most popular but what should I look for in paint to get similar quality? Like leather paints from micheals or what
Another great video! Definitely need way more subs than 70k! Love how chill and down to earth you are despite how talented and successful you are. Definitely a rare breed man. Thank you for making it and inspiring us, fam!💯
Question from a newbie here. I'm planning on painting a pair of converse for myself and I currently have Daler Rowney acrylics with me. Is there anything I should note about using acrylic on canvas shoes(eg. mediums for the paint etc) and also what finisher would you reccomend for someone on a tight budget?
The files disappear. Sectors written to and closed will remove what they are storing and open back up to 0 state. That's why if you need to recover something you shouldn't write any new data as it overwrites the old files. However they are still written there just unviewable, that is unless you full formatted the drive and reset it by writing 0s to each sector.
Hi! Me and my friends thought it would be fun to start making custom shoes and sell them as a business since it is mandatory to for us to start a 1 year company in our entrepreneurship course. Do you know if we need to get permissions from shoe companies if we for example bought Nike AF1, design them and then sell it for a little more than the original price? Your videos are very helpful! PS I'm sorry if my english is bad, it's not my first language.
I’m definitely a year late but for context, I’m a Product Design Engineer for an Automotive company & have worked with Intellectual Property many times- I may not be in law but I do know how to not get sued😂 Essentially you’d be using Nike as a “supplier” (maybe not formally but a place you are purchasing materials) so no you wouldn’t run into legal issues with Nike If you put your artistic work/value on it. Where you need to be careful is the artwork on your product. Businesses will often file patents, trademarks, etc. on designs, symbols, literary & artistic works as Intellectual Property with the USPTO- so if the original inventor has a protection on their IP, they have legal right to sue your business. This is why novelty/originality of a product is super important!! If you have some questions or even want me to explain product launches/releases to influence customer satisfaction, I’d be happy to help :) I’m super passionate about it & always look for opportunities to discuss it
Hey guys, I'm just starting my custom designs business and I'm interested in legal perspective of the job? What are do's and don't's for this kind of business in doing art on specific shoe design such as Nike or Vans and also doing a design of big brand such as Disney or Marvel? Thank you for this great inspirational content! 🤗
So I'm painting a pair of my old shoes with some random paint that I have just bc I'm bored, and I'm not sure if the paint will stay on so do you know what I can put over top of it to make it stay?
Excuse me could you answer this question? can I customize paint a shoe without doing the paper sanding part? I don’t want to paint the entire shoe just the characters/objects I draw. And I notice you did sand paper when you painted the entire shoe the pink and blue Air Force video.
I have some air forces I’ll clean up and customize and I don’t have much money should I get the beginner angelus kit with paintbrushes paints and finishe
I like your videos! I have an idea to make custom shoes for my family for christmas. I wanted to ask you is it good to use sharpie markers to customize them?
I have a quick question. Do you buy the shoe customize it and sell it or does the customer give you the shoe and you customize it and charge them based on the custom because they gave you the shoe?
Either way works totally fine, if you’re wondering what you should do keep in mind that now the customer has to psychologically get over the cost of paying for the base shoe also rather than simply the artwork
I tend to tell everyone their wait time is much longer than expected so then I can work on projects in order of which they excite me, and mandatory new projects on tight deadlines always pop up
This is really helpful man! Been following you for months! Would love your opinion on my latest custom (it's on my channel). Learned about the toothpick technique from you heheh
Hi! a little question here.. I would like to customize a pair of air force one that I have with some acrylic paint pens (like Posca, But from an other mark) and I would like to know if I have to prep the shoes first (with acetone or whatever that you think will be best) and if I have to prep all the shoes or only those part that I want to custom? (Sorry for any mistake in that comment.. English is not my first language)
Dylan I am a beginner from South Africa and Angelus paint is way too expensive for me and hard to get because no shop sells them . So I tried using fabric paint and it's not bad but that's all I got . Any tips?
Thanks i needed the advice good vid👍👍 and also i live in ireland and im not sure where to start selling shoes because i dont have Facebook so if there are any other websites you recommend then ill give them a try
NIGHT_ MARE absolutely! I just think they were referring to when starting out and you’re creating shoes with the intent to sell what sizes should you select
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I'm only 12 and I'm gonna ask for customizing equipment on my birthday in a month customize a pair of shoes and wear them outside and take pics and start out a business.
