CustomNPCs Tutorials | Episode 12: Random Tips 

I wanna know that there is a way to make it trigger a command on death, i wanna make custom quests and all

Yeah there is basically when a quest ends just have it put a command

And if u want to spawn on death make it a spawned and make it to have it spawn on death there’s a setting for that

I want a script where npc’s move when you go to a location for example: the guard will move when you go on the gate

It's an idea, definitively considered it. But I did the tutorial on this because I consider myself an expert with the base mod mechanics, and there's clearly defined functionality to learn about. With scripting, I'd still consider myself a beginner (even though I have used it before), and I wouldn't know where to start or even what to teach since scripting has more specific goals and ideas. And nah man, I appreciate long comments like this on anything I work on. I value feedback. :)

@@Yellow768 hey man if you could respond to this immeditaly how do you add your own custom models to the npcs like a fire fighter

I worked around that by making a item to unlock the dialogue and making it to were only I had that item so I could continue to tweak the npcs

@@Yellow768 you should showcase other mods, I myself am interested in rp mods but since i know you do actually good videos I'd support whatever content tbh

@@Alecscs See, the thing is I only have extensive knowledge about CustomNPCs. The other mods I used for my map Daruma weren't nearly as complex. I used quark, bibliocraft, decocraft, improved backpacks and hungerstrike. Most of those just added new blocks for decoration, hungerstrike was to remove the hungerbar, and improved backpacks was only for backpacks. I am active in the cnpc discord, and saw a lot of the same questions so I figured I should make a tutorial for it. I don't really use other mods. Now, there are some preliminary plans to do some scripting tutorials, but not much has come of it yet.

@@Yellow768 i get it, i wouldn't know what to do either to be honest. Either way, your tutorials are really nice and straight to the point, i like that.

Do you have any other mods installed? Maybe something like world guard or a lag culler? Those are usually the things that cause NPCs to disappear

I think the only thing that might be affecting it is cubicchunks because for some reason after exiting the editing menu they disappear and are 60000 blocks up at the surface but im at y level -60000 do you know if there is any support for this?@@Yellow768

@@Yellow768 why did Noppes separate the Commodities and The Custom NPCs? It was the same mod till 1.12 version came

@@70Lu07 To make mod management easier on him so basically if he changes somethinig in Cnpcs it wont muck with the blocks and what not
