Do you know how to get the follower to attack and defend you? Most have suggested using the guard role but that makes that run around killing everything, and I have tried using companions but it's buggy and you can only have one so I use the follower system to give them followers themselves to help get more of a party so to speak..😅 (Sorry my phone is broken)
No. "After" is for when the player has already turned in the quest. No longer in their quest log. "Completed" is when the quest is complete, but the player hasn't turned it in yet. As in, they have acquired all the items for the quest, but haven't actually gone to the NPC to get their reward. Still in their quest log.
@sixqo4896 this ONLY applies to the visibility in display. Availability options are mainly used to determine the order of quests and dialogs. There is no issue with those

I wanted to port voice lines from other game to minecraft and I managed to obtain a zip file containing 345 files that I was searching for. Thankfully, your video here saved me on how to do just that with customnpc mod. I'll figure out on my own on how to apply the stream function on a single reference name with multiple sound attached Actually, it doesn't work... Textures seem to work temporarily and it became purple after a while
I need help with 1.16.5 quest starting command. If I use the for ex noppes quest start @p 1 in my console everything works just fine but if I do it on command block it doesn't work at all. Any conditioning doesnt matter because the most important command won't start from the command block. Any ideas what to do about it? Any other command seems to work on command block
Those are the default numbers. If the player has less than 500 points, that faction is hostile to them. Between 500 and 1500, that faction is neutral to them. Above 1500, that faction is friendly
ignore damage on custom items dont seem to work, for example i gave myself an unbreaking 5 iron hoe for a quest, and if i dont use it, it accepts the item and completes the quest, but if i damage it by one point it doesnt accept it, do you have any idea why this might be?
i just get lost you didnt explain the way to create the sounds in customs npc assets and please next time use the same filenames at the benining because i get lost in that bandit thing
I'm sorry for the confusing file names, but the assets folder in your .minecraft/customnpcs acts the same as a resource pack, with the same file structure and everything. you can copy and paste your assets folder from a resource pack into that folder and it will work the same. your sounds need to into a sound folder, they need to be .ogg, and you need a sounds.json that sits outside of that folder that registers all the sounds
How would you make an NPC right click? I have a JJK server I’m trying to make NPCs be apart of events. And there’s an item that lets me copy an ability and right click to use it. I was wondering if there was a way to make it work
got any idea why none of this is working? none of it is doing anything at all. i got it to work once and then never again. customnpcs is confusing for zero reason. and yes i'm pissed off
are you clearing your playerdata? The mod is going to remember if you've read dialogs already if you're messing with availability. I also made an updated version of this video, episode 8.5, that's shorter
how can i make a item into a "token" what i mean lets say bought a "token" from said seller and instead it just gives the token itself its gives lets say 64 gun bullet and these bullets are connected to a achievment and that need to be reached/activated after buying those bullets. sry if i miss typed something english is not my first language.

For some reason I can't find the sound name in Customnpcs section. What am I doing wrong? Code used: { "playsoundname": { "sounds": [ {"find_your_flame_soundwave.ogg", "stream": true } ] } } Its not in notepad + + tho...
You can use a json validator to see if there's any errors, but your sounds going to show up as "playsoundname" in Minecraft. Replace "playsoundname" with what you want it to be called
@@Yellow768 Update: I don't see playsoundname in the minecraft folder... Maybe I should change it to start with an A? Am I forgetting anything? Do I add the {} brackets? Do I have to do the playsound command?
@Micah.Lau.navi. you need a "name": key if you're going to use the "stream" key. { "findyourflame": { "sounds": [ { "name": "find_your_flame_soundwave", "stream": true } ] } } You also don't need to put .ogg there.
You can check if your json is valid here jsonlint.com/ it will tell you where any errors are. If you are on 1.16.5, that version has a bug where custom folders don't show up when searching, but if you manually type in the path to the image it will still load it. Sorry it didn't work for you though
