Cut People Off Silently | Stoicism
Are you struggling with toxic relationships and wondering how to distance yourself without drama? Stoicism teaches the art of indifference and emotional resilience, which can be invaluable in such situations. This video, "Cut People Off Silently | Stoicism," offers a step-by-step guide on how to silently remove negative influences from your life by leveraging stoic principles.
Stoicism, an ancient philosophy, emphasizes control over one's reactions and maintaining tranquility regardless of external circumstances. In this video, we'll explore practical stoic wisdom that helps you cut off relationships silently and effectively, ensuring your peace of mind. You'll learn how to recognize when it's time to step away and how to do so with dignity and inner peace. By the end of this tutorial, you'll have the tools to protect your emotional well-being and create a healthier social environment around you. Whether it's in personal relationships or professional settings, the stoic way provides a pathway to assertive and calm disengagement.
How to cut people off using stoicism? What are stoic ways to handle toxic relationships? How to maintain peace when cutting ties? How to detach emotionally using stoicism? This video will answer all these questions. Make sure you watch all the way through to not miss any key insights.

@@CircumlunarFeasibility Did you listen to the video? You must be one of those toxic people because this guy just said he's been silently detaching which is brave not cowardly. I've tried to reason with people like these energy vampires or narcissists and all it does is make it worse. Especially if you have to tell them not to contact you anymore. It's much less of a headache not even letting them know you're cutting them off. They don't respect you so WHY do they deserve an explanation? There are three levels of emotional and intellectual maturity. The Ego is the lowest form of maturity which is very reactionary having little or no concern for the outcome. Then there is the Intellect which is the next level of maturity where we have learned to think through situations to have the best outcome for all concerned. In this regard the highest level of maturity is the Observer where we are not reactionary to other's expressions toward us. We see that the less than desirable way people treat us is really about them and not us so we do not react to it. Many times it is necessary to limit our exposure or outright walk away from people in this regard. There can be consequences for us in doing so and if we are emotionally and intellectually mature enough we learn to do this with minimal negative effect to us and them.

This can't be Stoicism, - calling other flawed human beings bad names like narcissists and vampires, when they are human beings with trauma, flaws, ill health, toxic from environmental influence and today's poor lifestyle, and with stress, can it? Treating others poorly and cruelly is never all right, you aren't justified or good for doing so!Nothing gets better from it inthe world, exept your own superficial egoism. We are on Earth partly to love and help one another. Giving warning and explanation why they are being difficult, annoying, straining, tiring, doing harm or whatever the problem is, is decent. Just turning your back to them is not. People aren't aware of what they are doing, not fully, and there are different parts of us fighting inside. We have to address the king/queen in one another to help them emerge and rule, because we are not animals with direct help by instincts from their group soul, but have to use our free will and fere choice between good and evil.Since we don't get well brought up learning the right ways and bvalues anymore, it can often be very difficult to have the know.how, soundness, be in touch with one's feelings and with what is right. Being toxic to toxic humans is not OK.Ostracising andturning your back to silently is cruel, because they are unwell and lost and need help to know what they are doing Being wrong etc. It can't be Stoicism.

Valid points; however, in my long years I find that there are some "unredeemables"...those people whose skill at tearing you down little by little (and in such clever and devious ways), are simply not worth my effort to "save" from themselves. In the end I ask, why ought I suffer for others' insecurities? I will try a few times, until I conclude that I am being expertly played and then I see that precious sand has fallen down the hourglass, and it is simply time to move on.

There are some people who just need a little guidance and yes you do help them understand their shortcomings. However there are those that have been traumatized beyond your ability to help them if they are not willing to help themselves. These are the people, after seeing which group they are in, that it is in your best interest to avoid.

If detaching is in principle with ones inner values, then that is the price to pay. Buying others shallow approval unaligned with ones own values, is moral prostitution, the lowest form of treachery.

I did! I gave it my best and ultimately decided to detach from family and most 'frienemies'. I moved 900 miles away where I didnt know anyone. During the assimilating process I spent a lot of time alone meditating and doing deep introspection into why the things that bothered me did so. I learned a lot about myself during that time...I am still learning about myself and others. I learned there are three parts to who I am...the Ego, the Intellect & the Observer. The Ego loves drama and conflict. The Intellect finds rational solutions to situations and the Observer is who I truly am when I go through life not being affected by every little thing. If you have confidence and self esteem & dress & act well people will treat you well. It takes time if you are new to the area. I moved to the south and most people treat me well but there are those who are still fighting the Civil War and there is nothing I can do about that except limit my exposure to them.

**on** your own(?) I kind of agree with you too. I, also, feel we have a duty to uplift and support those who can't necessarily support themselves, children,/teens, elderly, infirm etc... plus we need to Foster good ŕelationship and support networks as we never know when we, ourselves, might need support off others. It's also good to have people who may see things differently to us so we can learn from each other, guide each other, not get stuck in an echo chamber of people who only ever agree with us and to learn tolerance of our differences. So long as its done respectfully and from a place of love on both sides, I see it as a good thing. However, I don't think this video is referencing the normal, flawed individuals we have relationships with but those who undermine us, tell lies to us or about us, steal our items or even our inner peace, physically, mentally or spiritual harm us, use us with no intentions of matching our energy or helping us or even others in return. Those types of people would never have our backs in 'battle' anyway. Cut them loose. As the video said at one or two points, once you've told them your boundaries and possibly even reminded them, if they continue to cross them and it causes us physical or mental harm or if they continue to put us even at risk of some type of harm then they've got to go from our lives. Plus letting them go opens up a vacancy for good people to be part of our little army. @@woldebazizew9385

As an observing and thinking man, I find many people who choose to stay in mean, pointless and superficial relationships rather than be alone. As a Stoic, I feel both contempt and compassion for these people. But I try to keep these feelings under control. But true friendship is a rarity. As a stoic, I choose life as a lone wolf where the light of self-respect illuminates my existence. I never give it up. Thoughtful people with a depth and pathos and code of honor. I love them .
