Natural World: Badgers - Secrets of the Sett (2008)
Badgers are loved by some and hated by others. Yet few people have ever seen one alive. So how does the badger maintain its secret life? This film follows a badger family throughout the year, from the birth of their tiny cubs deep underground, to their spring emergence, discovery of summer scenery and encounters with people and wild neighbours. Set against the idyll of country life on a working farm, this film uncovers the dark and light side of the badger as never seen before. What is revealed is a surprising, entertaining and moving account of the country's most respected and endlessly watchable wild inhabitant.

Lots of folks end up harming badgers, you know? If they'd just leave a basket of apples outside their crib, it could totally change the game.

So, like, people mess with nature, and then they're all like complaining about the drama that follows. Badgers, you know, just do their thing, chilling in their underground spots, escaping the noise of our crazy loud world. We gotta, like, think about how we're messing with their homes, man. Oh, and by the way, badgers apparently dig sugar, but they're totally cool; no harm to us or anyone else. 🦡 #NatureVibes

We need to stop celebrating war with the sounds of war, imho. It causes extreme anxiety for dogs, wildlife, and most importantly, veterans and others traumatized by war. It makes every vet and refugee relive the horrors of war. Why on earth do we do that to them?

@UCtaYlSeg-K32alXTc0zEjKQ Soft? The world is being destroyed by humans to the point where we will make ourselves extinct and you're worried that someone might be soft? Your Macho outlook has brought nothing but destruction to the world. Humans are the only species that works hard to make their own world impossible to live in. Rule the world? Ha! We're so stupid that instead of being stewards of the world, we arrogantly destroy our only sources of oxygen - the healthy oceans (phytoplankton), and forests. Not very smart at all.

European badgers are fascinating creatures. They're known for their distinct black and white facial markings, and they belong to the mustelid family. These nocturnal beings are skilled diggers, creating intricate burrow systems called setts. European badgers have a diverse diet, including earthworms, insects, fruits, and small mammals. They're quite social too, often living in groups called clans. If you ever get a chance to observe them, you'll be amazed at their unique behaviors and interactions! 🌍🦡

People disrupt nature, then grumble about the consequences. Badgers seek refuge in their burrows, a sanctuary from our noisy world. Let's be mindful of our impact on their habitat. On a side note, remember, badgers don't pose a threat; they don't eat humans or the deceased. 🦡 #NatureCoexistence

Badgers can live anywhere - in the vast forests of North America, or somewhere amidst the illimitable Great Plains - but these badgers apparently live somewhere close to a human population; hence, the fireworks. In short, Mr. Narrator, people are not intruding upon the badgers' "tranquility" in this video. These animals just have the misfortune of being close to human habitation. If these badgers are emerging from their homes into a "battleground", they'll migrate somewhere else, somewhere far away from civilization and the ways of man.
@caspion1647
@caspion1647 Год назад
You do know that there are multiple species of badgers and that most badgers cannot travel across a bloody sea or ocean? Oh and those in the mainland of Europe would have to travel through thousands of kilometres of human inhabited areas, including life threatening highways. Aka quite being so condesensing, because you sound like an ignorant prick.
@Eadbhard
@Eadbhard Год назад
@@caspion1647 The video doesn't mention what part of the world these badgers are in, fuckstick. As for me, it is obviously clear by my comment that I am referring to American badgers. In North America - where there are no oceans to cross - there are millions of acres of National Forest Lands and Parks where humans will likely never intrude upon these animals' "tranquility'. Point is, this idiot narrator makes it sound like humans are always encroaching upon the badger's peace and quietude. This is not true. Even if it were true, human habitation doesn't seem to be affecting the badger population. These animals are ubiquitous, and they can be found throughout the world; moreover, despite growing human populations, badgers have no danger of being on any 'Endangered Species' list. And, truth be told, I don't think badgers' give a continental curse about fireworks going off in the skies above their dens, no more than they would care about thunder and lightning. The only ignorant one is you. The comment I wrote is hardly apropos to the fugged up comment you sent as a reply, so why did you even bother posting it? Do you enjoy looking like a contentious, obtuse, fugging little shitpoke on a public platform such as RU-vid? Is that it?
