Met this newbie f2p in an empty server. I played along with him so he doesn't get discouraged from playing the game. Wherever he is now, I hope he's doing fine :) TF2
Somehow you missing a lot of shots on purpose doesn't feel like it's to act a scene, but more like you're trying to enjoy the moment while it's still there.
And also to stop them from quitting the match too Letting the f2p get a kill or two to let them feel like they’re doing decently will help them get better too as they won’t ragequit or anything from constantly dying
Reminds me of one time at Well where a new F2P Engineer decided to defend the intel and placed his sentry beside mine. I was trying to get up the rafters and find if there was some cheeky place to build. He just watched as I used this weird laser thing that commands my sentry to shoot me up there. Eventually noticed him, killbinded to give him the wrangler, and he tried doing what I was doing as well. I love joining CTF maps and seeing newborn engies, whether helping them out or bullying them by constantly throwing christmas balls and cleavers at them.
my friend, I have an organization for you. Gibus Engineer Wildlife Protectors, or G.E.W.P. Your goal is to protect these babies until they can fend for themselves.
Imagine this is how TF2 revives itself 20 years later, a Veteran who doesn't want to let go and a kid who wants to experience what the big hit FPS was like in 2010. The Kid eventually has fun and tell their friends, who then gets posted on a Gaming media site on what game to play after they had their fun, and soon people all over the globe hop in to play, whether it's the veterans or the Newbies, they have fun. Toxic Limes and tryhard long matured as they too want to be competitive again in their childhood game, and Bots won't infest the servers as the Hosts have thrown out the codes to a "Dead Game."
Yeah, one day, after an apocalypse falls, and a surprising lot of humanity still survives, yet internet as we know it will be forever gone, with plenty of panic-made archives before the fall of the world were made, multiple of which containing this gem. Getting together some old laptops and having someone knowledgable connect it them together through lan, and them enjoying the game after such a disaster, that's truly the definition of life, enjoyment of what was and still can be.
Good to know I'm not the only one who finds fresh installs adorable! I can't understand why anyone would be toxic and hostile to these delicate creatures.
Mostly hackers are mean to them for some reason, back then i was a wm1 backburner pyro who i killed a p2p soldier because i knew how to wm2 luckily that guy was soon kicked, even though i cant chat, the other p2p backed me up and that was my first interaction of me being called a hacker. Now im a p2p scout main with the inventory of 50 keys who usually gives hats to f2p players i have given about more than 45 hats, usually i give hats when they play medic or saved my life in game.
mine too, i used to sit on his knee and watch him play tf2 and stalker, sometimes he'd let me use the mouse. i have one vague memory of a glowing blue pisol as an engie on i think dustbowl. id act as the demo or engi quite often too cause i liked their viewmodel animations and cool clothes. ill really miss him
Honestly man. It’s so adorable to see a tf2 player running straight without a care in the world when your used to looking back every 5 seconds since you have to be so aware in this game
this warms my heart pwq seeing new people having fun just makes me so happy and gives me faith the game will live on for a long time still, even if its on life support
@@joosb0ks Im just going to leave this here, I dont dislike this video anyhow, I just think that its script from what I have seen. Maybe I am wrong or right, it doesn't matter to me. I think that you are a wonderful lad and dont want to argue about this bc im so tired. Have an amazing life and bye :)
My kill sounds are the death sound combine soldiers make on Half Life 2 lol Edit: I put hit sounds instead of kill sounds, I’m thinking of changing the hit sounds, I think the default is fine but you know changing them is funny
Man I remember playing TF2 for the first time in like 4th or 5th grade. Unfortunately I was in one of those unpopulated servers like this one but it had 2 players on the other side while I was solo and I was just trying stuff out. Bad part was that they kept making fun of how bad I was so I just left and uninstalled. Good part is that I came back years later and enjoy it now even if I am still bad.
Man, I love this video. I absolutely love how you treat the f2p like a human, not a child. You kill him occasionally, but you're never rude about it, you don't hold his hand through the entire game, you let him learn on his own. You also give him plenty of chances to get a kill or two so he doesn't rage quit. This, right here, is the perfect way to learn: through experience.
Watching this video brings up two fond memories playing this game. Long time ago (Before I got back into Casual and MvM) I would explore a lot of community servers. Often empty ones where I was just by myself. Sometimes I would find a server with bots (Yes, I did a lot of Practice too) but I always find a server for myself. I kinda am a loner and used to prefer being by myself. This video reminded me of those times where it really seemed like the game was empty. Honestly, F2Ps are adorable and fun to play with. I know people want to play the game and don't want incompetence and low skill levels on their teams, but to those people: go Competitive. Isn't Comp meant for more serious gaming? anyways, I give F2Ps a chance and play with them. I would beat them and I would let them win. Even teaching them tricks in the process (It gets better when they get more friendly and can understand you via text/voice chat) and It was a treat to meet them. Anyways, good video!
3:25 scorch shot and phlog... OH NO DONT LET HIM FALL INTO THE DARK SIDE OF TF2 NOOO DO NOT LET HIM GROW UP TO BE *THAT* TYPE OF PLAYER NOO!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I got a computer so I could finally play the games I've missed out on, and this was at the top of my list. I was really upset when I found out that it can't run 32 bit games. It's hard seeing someone else get the experiences you imagined for yourself :") I still have hope I'll play it one day before the community dies
I'm where you are but I'm still trying to get a computer, hopefully I'll find a good one soon. Then I can play something other than browser games on my parent's computer.
I remember being an F2P and saw My team all engi and putting their sentry next to each other on Badwater 2nd point rooftop, I thought that was the most best and broken way to defend a point. Until a demoman showed up and made Me go wtf while he's destroying all the sentries effortlessly.
Maaaan😂 you so good at picking memes! Thank you for bringing in the nostalgia and a laughs. Stopped playing TF 2 in like 2015 but I still love it to the core
I don’t think TF2 will ever die. The community is too strong and show so much love for it. I sometimes feel like it will die I won’t lie, but seeing people like you giving F2P a chance gives me back hope to make the community stronger
I got TF2 a couple weeks ago. and I'm now getting the video recommendations for TF2, and this is so wholesome because this new player is probably pretty young and doesn't know much about fps games, so you playing with them is so cute and wholesome. ☺
Let me tell you a story of me playing the game for the first time. So I was playing engineer and built a sentry. When I was building the sentry I couldn't upgrade it. When I was done I watched videos of how to upgrade a sentry and I didn't have that much metal. So the next day I learned to get metal and get a level 3 sentry
one time when i first time installed tf2, i saw enemy heavy on out intel room, idk why he isnt picking it up but hes just there doing the high five taunt ready. i went there and find whats the button to taunt, and i felt like i have some cool friends for the first time in a video game :,)
0:11 I disagree. Its still very alive and still alot of fun. Sadly cheaters and bots make the game die more ever day. Sad times :( Its nice to see new people join the game though :)
I like that I've made a reputation to my recommended that I like TF2 so much that I can't look up "First time?" to get the meme and instead get cute F2Ps
