Ferrets love to cause trouble and if you are ever unlucky enough to leave your fridge ajar then be prepared for the ensuing chaos. Always supervise your ferrets during playtime :) Music: Sabre dance performed by Markus Staab.
Ahhhh.. reminds me of the time my girlfriend cooked me a steak dinner while I was taking a bath. She called me when it was ready on the table. I go out to eat and there's no steak on the plate. Well she's swearing up and down that she put it on the plate. About six months later we're doing spring cleaning and I'm cleaning under the kitchen cabinets and there's a open spot in the corner. Reaching my arms back there I find the missing steak that's nothing but bone now. I also find a dozen socks, papers, nick knacks and all sorts of other things. She (Coco) had herself a whole apartment to herself under there with different rooms and everything. I'm sure there's still stuff under there I couldn't reach pull out.
That's what you get for having produce with the roots and dirt still intact on the lower-half of your fridge! I am glad I never filmed the results of when my 2 carpet sharks managed to get the fridge open one day when my (ex)wife didn't close the door properly. package of bologna; half destroyed and half eaten, tub of margerine; upside down on the floor, 5 cans of soda; fun rolling toys until Fatboy got a fang into one of em. Ginger Ale streams all over the dishwasher, fridge, stove, and of course, ferrets. Thankfully, the veggies were in the crispers where they belong. Still, we had sticky ferrets with a taste for Ginger Ale for a good while. :p
I love how, after they knocked the container of lettuce out of the fridge, they both walked over to the edge and looked down with that whole attitude of "look what you did now". Also, there was the mandatory cute innocent look when caught.
Ger them in pairs, so they always have each other. If their in a cage, keep it open. They like an enclosure, but not to be locked up. They sleep most of the time, but when they are awake, they must be free!
There are many factors to intelligence in animals. One is the size of the brain in direct relation to the size and weight of the body. So they may have small brains but they also have small bodies. The sperm whale has the biggest brain in the world but it also has the biggest body and heaviest weight to correlate.
This is so cute!! This reminds me about that my ferret sonic when she finds a corn dog stick the picks it up and runs away and eats what left on it its so cute and funny😄
So cute! I think you should have shown the next few minutes of the video where the ferret chooses his baby then comes back to choose the pepper! Thanks for the cuteness overload! I needed that tonight! Good video, Roy!
ya my ferret does the same thing with a potato as those ferrets did with that pepper. then my ferret goes into the tunnels she dug in my couch that lead to her burrow hole in the couch where she keeps socks, baby toys, erasers, pencils, and my mom's rubber handle from her razors. Then adds it to her collection where the potato ROTS until someone finds it.
+Mary Harrison I think they meant just biting into it. I think a green bell pepper has 1 scoville unit so it wouldn't really be that interesting I wouldn't think. I think the reds have 10? Maybe it is the other way around. I wouldn't put it beyond a ferret to try to eat a veggie. I've seen a video where an owner tossed a head of romaine lettuce at a pet iguana and the pet ferret ran in and stole it just because it could.
My ferret pulls the vent out of the kitchen floor! We put the rug over it and may have to duct tape it down. Can't have him getting down into the ductwork!!
Thanks! I put a wedge in the door so that it wasn't completely sealed for the sake of getting that shot. He can't open it on his own...Although...now that I've taught him how... I guess we will see :)
EpicFerret.com Oh I see. Although I've seen other ferrets move / slide heavy objects (relative to their weight) with ease, so there is possibility that there is a ferret out there capable of opening fridge doors on their own.
Love them so happy i got one.but shit once they get an idea they will spend hours trying to accomplish the impossible.mine trys fragging a big card board box with is quadruple the size of the tunnels opening yet he thinks he can get it to magically fit.if i try stopping him. Hisssd at me gets very angry.i have to take the box and tube out and bring something new in or it drives me crazy
