Unbelievable. Simply beyond belief!!!! Their 'The Waters of March' from 2015, 2019 will slay you to the bone. Gil Evans and Miles, Jerry and Chet would fall right in. Chamorro deserves all the love in this world.
Great, really tight playing from the band for this classic Hefti number, and great modulation, it's real class when you hear a big bang keeping it all together playing a quite passage.
Oh! How tantalisingly, teasingly restrained! Excellent. Thank you Louis for finding this. How about the Base player? Love the Pork Pies and Titfers. Thanks mate.
+Alan Levin Quite safely, this is a 2009 recording, taken from the band's first publication. Citing from Joan's "basin street blues" video with Ricard Gili and Andrea Motis: "del CD-DVD" JAZZING" live at Casa Fuster, Barcelona Enregistrat el dia 21 de juny del any 2009 al Jazz Club del Cafè Vienès de l'Hotel Casa Fuster" The juvenile musician that has been asked for is Jan Rodríguez 12 anys (contrabaix ) On other takes, it's Magali Datzira (12 anys) on bass. Eva Fernandez was 15 then, Andrea was 14. Of all the kids, only Carla is still in the band. The adults here (in picture at 2:20) are Carlos Martín (trompeta) and Dani Alonso (trombó) The former soloed with the trombone on other song. Josep Mª Farras, Juli Aymi and Ignasi Terraza also participated in the ten videos which I collected from that concert. Thank you, +Louis Rodrigues, for your efforts!
From a concert in 2008, some of which was released in 2009 but not this one. In the interest of full disclosure, they had adult help in the trombone section and, I think, in the trumpets--the man on the audience's far right. By 2010 or 2011, this was not necessary.
Eduard (Edu) Ferrer - he apparently left the band together(?) with his older brother Jaume (left of him) in or at the end of 2014. He has been appearing in a few videos since then, notably with Eva.
