Safi is arguably the cutest crayfish in the world! I've seen this blue crayfish at the petshop for weeks kept in a very small display tank. I felt very sorry for it and wanted to take it home, but none of my planted tanks were suitable for it. Until my husband saw her and really liked her a lot! so I knew I had to set up something from scratch, even if I took the space from a potential other aquascape.. she is worth it and even worth more, but for now the 80l will be all hers :)

She's awesome! Just like mine:) they are fascinating animals imho. I'm lucky 25:06 in that I wake up through the night and can spend way too time watching my single blue lobster (1 year old) and my beloved apple snails.. different tanks. As both tanks are right next my bed:) Favourite aquatic animals: Apple snails, then crayfish:)

AWW she’s lovely. I miss having my tanks up - I can’t atm. But when I move next year, I’ll definitely be reinstating my tanks. I’ve never had a crayfish and you’re inspiring me to give one a try.

I used to have 3 crayfish. They passed away a few years ago but this reminds me of them! They were so cute! Their names we cray red and meowth, meowth was kinda tan like the pokemon, cray had oversized antenna, and red was red (lol) I miss them dearly and I loved them. They were so interesting to watch, we had this small fake plant in our tank (because they kept trying to eat real plants) and red would pull it in front of his cave as a door whenever he was in it!

Crayfish 🦐 fascinate me 🙂. The same goes for crabs :-) and anything with a hard exoskeleton such as 🐞 beetles. Especially the ones that belong to family of crustaceans:-)🙂.

Do electric crayfish need a spot to get out of the water? I have done a lot of searching online and the place I bought mine and I'm getting mixed information. the place I bought mine from doesn't say anything like crabs (need air)
