I love that even the "minor" stories are getting the quality of an Archon Quest

Why does it actually feel like a movie though... like everything looks so insane and unpredictable at first.

Chevreuse's EN voice is exceptionally well done! Erica Lindbeck has portrayed her quite perfectly.

There’s always an NPC in quests that puts their ALL into their performance.

The panic and desperation in Morris's voice, like the VA was actually forced to say these lines at musketpoint, lol. Morris is too good to just be a one time npc.

That cutscene was amazing. Props to the people who voiced Chevreuse and Morris!

I didn't expect them to go this hard for a limited time event cutscene. I hope it means that they'll continue to do better and better in the future Archon quests cutscenes.

This cutscene was unexpectedly so good. I love the use of shadows and voice acting here.

Hands down, one of the best events in Genshin Impact, well written with both dark and funny moments. And Chevreuse, it took one event, ONE EVENT, to become such a fantastic character. And the quality of this cinematic is incredibile, to the point it doesn't even feel like Genshin Impact anymore but an actual movie. The characters' movements are well done and detailed, Morris' facial animation when he was scared and begging for his life in particular. Massive props for the animators because they really stepped up their work, as always. I'm so happy and proud to be part of this community and to witness the work of such passionate developers.

Genshin cutscenes are always amazing, but this one felt like it's entirely in a different league. The facial expression, the animation's fluidity, the voice acting, the shadows and the lights all achieved perfection.

This cutscene is such a big technical and artistic improvement. They'd managed to make it feel like a movie scene. Oh, Paimon is also adorable here!

ok i know we love Morris's VA it was an amazing job but holy h*ck the _animation_ on him, it's a serious step up in genshin's animation, so desperate and worried, you can see pure panic in his eyes and movements it all just reads _so_ good

This is probably one of the best cutscenes that i've seen in this game, and that says a lot when sinner's finale exists

Chevreuse was a total surprise for me as for how good as a character she is. She was the true star of the whole event! And her VA did such an amazing job.

It's really impressive how much Chevreuse's voice actor gets into the role of her character. Morris' dubbing is not far behind either.

I love how the mixing for Chevreuse's voice is so bold and crushed, really does fit her style!

“You can keep your mora, and you can go to hell” gave me the shivers. And Veronique being the second musketeer was so shocking and unexpected, I expected Morris to be the one that sabotaged the cameras and stuff but Veronique was so unpredictable. I freaking love this event.

Chevreuse is one of the best written playable characters.

This reminds me of the albedo event. Where they put so much effort in a limited time event, it’s so good. The voice acting was amazing. I feel bad for any new players who’ll miss this amazing quest and cutscene

Most EN VA's (even the NPC's) stepped up in Fontaine and i love it

These kinds of scenes always reminds me of one of the main reasons I fell in love with genshin, besides the visuals and combat, the story telling is always so rich and mesmerizing, just amazing. ❤

Erica Lindbeck really delivered on this cutscene, Chevreuse has become one of my favorite characters after seeing her in this quest

I just watched this scene and finished the gameplay, and it was AMAZING. The voice actor of Morris did so well, and the animators animated his shaky/terrified movements so well. And the story here is very creative, for a story to be connected to a novel, I love it.

Well written, well executed and well produced.From begining to end the entire gameplay felt like a movie.This was one of the best genshin story quest ever.

I would like to commend the voice acting of Chevreuse and Morris' VA, they did great! Also, I love the light and dark contrast of the scene! They went hard on these one despite being a limited time event cutscene.

absolutely loved the way how they used lights and shadows in like 0:42 or 1:07, very contrasting from the usual "bright and happy" genshin looks but served a powerful context in the scene, impressed with the cutscene always keep getting better!!

I love the lighting work when chevreuse was walking, the way it was completely dark with only her eyes and outline visible made her so look so menacing

even though it's just a minor event, they somehow managed to level up quality of basically everything of the game in this one. The writing was fascinating, interactions between all characters were funny and amazing, and the cutscene were so cinematic, not to mention VAs from EN, JP and CN contributed their best performance in the acting, definitely one of the best event of Genshin, I am so glad to see they are taking Chevreuse's character development so seriously and I think it's safe to say she's the most successfully developed star 4 character so far, hoyo just won't stop their progress in production, bravo!

Top notch voice acting. Both from Morris and Chevreuse’s VA. Morris sounds absolutely horrified 😂, and Chevreuse’s voice really reveals her hidden rage (so later when Chev said the thought of killing Morris crossed her mind, I believe it. You could hear it in her tone). And the pressure she asserted was definitely enough to make Morris confess on the spot 😂

This is what I wanted from the game and always ask for it...more cool background stories or things that shows how a new character is, more characters being together and interacting with each other in these events, awesome cutscenes like in this case and so on. Great job to all involved in these stories, from writers to art designers, voice actors and whoever makes all the great tasteful choices when it comes to the final product.

0:21 🤣 Also I saw a lot of comments regarding of how this is justice. That's a common plot point in several older detective series when they know the murderer but need to get a confession.

This cutscene felt really amazing for an event! The shadows, the voices and even the plotwists! I also noticed that the animators are starting to use more props and camera movements during dialogs wich make them a thousand times more entertaining! Really enjoyed the event!

I really LOVED this cinematic! The shadows, the lights, the animation, the reactions of the characters, the voice acting of Morris's VA and of the other characters too! I loved every sequence! This one is definitely my favourite cinematic from an event! When it finished i wanted to see it again! And i really liked the event in general, i enjoyed it a lot!

this scene goes hard af for no reason

playing since the start its still super cool seeing how much genshin has grown: the facial expressions, the npc va the animation over all. this was topnotch cut scence

At this point, we know Morris was super Sus... But the presentation and animation for this scene is just superb accompanied with those lines and awesome background music

This scene is peak graphical fidelity. The lighting for Chevreuse is something reminiscent of the good old films back then, which is beautiful, as well as references to Noir moments where the criminal is surrounded. Lovely, just lovely. However it would have been better if violence was portrayed tbh, stop holding back and get unhinged with such outrageous moments like Honkai Impact 3 is doing. I really wish firearms would really become the sixth weapon type for the game in the future though~

I don't know if anyone pays attention to my message:- I really like this game but I want to tell everyone that this game needs a Chat Ai and text-to-speach (for the traveler) which will also can control the story easily. Then we will be able what we want to talk in the character conversation but the Ai will automatically put it back to story, the conversation will be more realistic. Using the text-to-speech module the traveler will also talk what we want. If the Genshin Impact community ever pays attention to my wish I'll be really thankful to all of you @everyone

This whole scene drips with Steampunk murder mystery vibes, and then the Traveler drops in and magically manifests a sword like some sort of fantasy Wolverine 😂
