You're correct Todd, you are in trouble with the decision that needs to be made. There are so many fabulous splitters to choose from it's not an easy decision for sure. I like to use a roller conveyor 24inch wide by 10 foot long and use two." Round feed" use gravity to help the rounds come to you no bending while splitter is running.... cut rounds into bucket then dump bucket onto roller conveyors.

Man..........................maybe I should just get an Ultra, and stop holding out and waiting to sell enough firewood to buy the 12-22! I seriously doubt that I'll ever be even close to taking advantage of the 12-22's potential because I'm a one-man (or at best, two) man show. You sure can accomplish a lot with an Ultra.

Todd is going to be really sad to go home to his box store splitter. I'll bet he will have his order in for a Ultra before Christmas rolls around. Even if you won't sell much firewood, the time savings is well worth it. As the old saying goes, one can make more money, but no one can make more time.

I wish I had been smart enough to buy some heavy equipment when I was still working and could afford it. I have a good splitter and saws and a John Deere Gator. Wish ai had a tractor or skid steer. Can't afford it now. Retirement has been decimated by Bidenomics. I love splitting walnut, it usually splits easy and straight.
