at my home depot, that mower is now twice the price it was 1 year ago, and this is their wintertime price. the price will most likely increase another $50 by April.
Last I saw, about two months ago, $140.00 at Home Depot. I paid $99.00 for mine two years ago, also at HD....... That's Joe Bribem's 7% inflation for you.
You could try adjusting the height/tension of the "board" under the cutting blades, there should be screws for that. Maybe time to oil it, too. But some lawns are difficult. Too tall grass and moss can block it.
I used one of these as a teen on a huge lawn, good workout. Difficult when there's lots of moss, or very tall grass, or complicated terrain. Otherwise works great.
To cut my lawn at the village cost 600 because it’s big, planning on purchasing two of these so I can call some boils playing in the streets or standing by the shop to come cut grass for change
@Diamond Public Senior Secondary School It does occasionally get jammed up by small twigs etc which can be a slightly irritating at times. I just pull out the small twig/branch by hand or just have to keep pulling the mower back and sometimes it un-jams itself. Before I mow lately I just try to make sure my yard is clear from sticks and other debris. I'm still loving the mower and hope to never return to gas powered again!
