Yes, our brothers and sisters who have long locks are going to feel the weights. I’m not sure about the looser curl locks or straight hair but I know for a sisters and brothers who have 3B between 3B and 4C hair we’re going to feel that weight

Cut it even tho it might look cool tho but i think it just going to make styling look much cleaner. man Gunther you make me less nerves to change up my hair had my dreads 5 years and ready for a change like you said after a while length definitely holds weight it feels like i have 2 pounds on my head lol. I’m really considering cutting it now (maybe by the end of the year😂😅) but definitely going to do it! And man your dreadlocks looking clean!

The thin ones at the root looks like they’re the one’s closest to the hairline, which would be thinner than the rest anyways, but his thinning like that looks to be from him cutting his hair. He might’ve snipped at his locs on accident while trying to line himself up.

Same thing is happening to mine. I have around the same amount. I think it's a combination of styling (two strand twists or braids) with finer texture areas. You should do thicker parts if you want to style a lot imo

Ik im not him😂 but I decided that when it comes time for me to do the same I will comb 1 or 2 out to see the true health of them and how much length retention I have then I would make my decision on whether to comb or cut my hair so I’m also not waisting time,and if you cut the you can always reattach them later… and depends on how much time you got to comb them out I hope this helps you make your decision lol
