less, far less I worked in a plastic casting factory I reckon the material cost is a literal fraction of a cent since you buy polymer balls by the half ton for a few bucks, industrial prices arent consumer prices. and the machining costs also not really impressive, thats also maybe a few cents. the most expensive parts are always paying the people who design this sheit because even the mold for casting are done by cnc machines nowadays so those also dont cost 10's of thousands anymore to make. if these croc's would get sold for 3, 50's they'd still be making enough profits, because thats what a pair would cost when you buy them from the factory in China.
@@catnium interesting to know the all the logistics, I used to do CAD and am aware of how cheap the raw materials are. These companies are making huge margins on these products and then flipping them to the end consumer for 1000's of percent above the cost of production. Kind of disgusting if you think about it. Quality has gone way down and social pressure way up 😐
That depends, the holes are above ankle height in those, ther rubber construction is oil resistant. So depending on your work, they could actually classify as workboots: oil resistant, isolating, closed up to the ankle and a slip resistant sole. So if you are pool supervisor in an indoor swimming compound, they might be "fine". ;-)
Why are the air gaps always in vertical and not in horizontal? This way you don't have those spikes. Writing this I realised it can be to keep their shape better...
