Cutting boots and shoes in half to review the leather quality and construction. Occasionally I do some leather craft videos, leather working tutorials, leather wallet reviews, and boot resole videos.
I've got a pair of OluKai Chucca Boots (same sole). Feel great, but because the sole has a lot of leather, I'm paranoid about getting them muddy or wet.
Jika-Tabi boots are awesome. feel very nice to walk with. Even those from Maguro that you cut in half in your video are great. I use them for Martial Arts training of course, but I also like to wear them as sneakers. I recommend them for all kinds of sports, esp. indoors or in a gym, but probably not to kick a ball around.
I was homeless for a few months 6 years ago. Got terrible trenchfoot one time. My whole foot, top and bottom was bleach white and visibly larger. All healed now, but I still have remnants of a crack on the bottom of my right to this day.
I think the Topo brand shoes are much better for the same concept there. Altra sold out and they honestly don't last past 50-100 miles... Topo is the brand to keep on the radar
The North Face is a fashion brand these days, NOT an "outdoors" brand. Unless you have custom made gear for a proper expedition made by them, then its "outdoorsy".
You should have left the aluminum D ring alone. It makes you look simple minded, silly and less credible. Aluminum in this application has plenty of strength to secure a gator.
The TNF Summit Series used to be absolutely top draw gear but like everything else it’s now utter s**te! In the UK every little toe rag street kid is dripping in poor quality TNF for no other reason but to look cool. This is where it’s gone wrong in my opinion. TNF have sold out the outdoor enthusiasts who rely on robust high quality garments and shoes that perform in the worst weather and harshest environments. They are after the sales at the cost of reputation and quality, a disaster! I’m still a Mountain Hardwear fan and they seem to be maintaining their integrity 👌🏻🍺🏴 Rose Anvil killing it as always 👊🏼❤️
Another excellent video! This is one of the best channels on U-tube. Obviously "The future of humanity" is vulture capitalists buying every respected manufacturing company and then selling people absolute crap. "Welcome to the future suckers!"
Every brand starts like this. Good product » success » grows and become a cult niche » corporation buys it » expands to internatinal fame » investors board wants more money » invest in marketing and branding instead of innovation and quality » becomes utter garbage » will live on until the image remains cool. It's the Nike recipe except Nike has department for athletes and invest in innovation on this segment while the lifestyle product is pure trash.
Not a well known brand here in Ohio. Never seen a pair or heard of them up until about a week or so ago. Very intrigued and considering trying a pair. Thanks for the informative video!
