They can make a cut in regards to the winter fuel payment but they can't cut the 3 billon going to the Ukriane war, they can't cut the 6 billion going to "Global warming" and they can't cut the 117million thats being used to build mosques, oh and i forget to mention this is all being done so labour can heat their second homes with £6000 pounds in spending and their houses are no 2 bedroom apartments i would expect them to be privately owned mansions and lets not forget the blackhole lies just so they can pick pocket billions towards unions. they are effectly not only stealing from british taxpayers and using it for illegal migrants but are also using it for their own projects outside of the UK, make that make sense of a government that seeks "Unity" yeah by the blood on their own hands.

I did 3 years ended in hosputal with pneumonia with cold .could manage 4 half hours through day .half hour when got up half hour befire bed then 2 half hours spread through day.when conservative gave us that money last year was good I put it on bit more .bought real food an blankets.then had another stroke end 2023.still recovering

​@@Jennifer-x3mAnd you will feel the cold this year even more due to your recent stroke to say nothing about the extra risks cold has on your blood clotting again! Keep warm somehow. Contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau for help to fill in forms to claim whatever benefits they think you are entitled to. Possibly AA or PIP uf you are disabled due to stroke?

@@sbalmer132 I agree completely that when used carefully and with genuine concern and respect for the individual who's near death and is suffering, it's very possibly the kindest, most humane thing to do. Trouble is, looking at the misuse there's been of Canada's MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) Programme, it shows the dangers that can occur if such an assisted dying programme is seriously abused. It is horrifying and a very bad reflection on humanity, to learn about how some medical and social care officials in Canada have been using MAID to "get rid" of vulnerable people they seem to regard as nuisances and /or drags on society etc. There are many appalling and very tragic examples of this misuse, such as the disabled army veteran who was living in a caravan and didn't have enough money to survive. He went to an advice centre to seek financial help and support, but instead of finding any such help, he was referred to the MAID programme!!! An elderly and disabled lady was struggling with mobility in her home and was in desperate need of home aids and ramps etc. The Advice Centre she visited said there was no money available for any home aids but they sent her onto MAID! In addition, several severely depressed and suicidal people were not given the medical care and emotional support they needed but were sent to and dealt with by MAID. So can we trust the British equivalent of these Canadian officials/ medical staff, to do any better and not misuse the programme?

And I think the standing charges are now far higher than they were a few years ago because although part of the charge goes to maintain the infrastructure of the national grid and also towards schemes that support "vulnerable customers", there's also a substantial and increasingly large part going towards green investment. We are paying an alarmingly high amount for this green scam.
