3:30 you don't need a second person to hold the breaks, just use allen key, put it between the disk plates on top inside the calliper, there is a gap. Will hold tight with no issues.
Thank you! 🙏🏽 Over the years, your guidance has helped me save thousands of dollars in repair costs on multiple vehicles in our family. I just finished this exact CV axle repair on my 2017 Kia Soul today! My heart’s filled with gratitude for you all. 🫶🏽
The only good thing about taking to a dealership you don't have to worry about them telling your whole life story they just get to the job and get the job done and send it on their way when other people that's trying to get views will discuss all about their family and so forth I don't care about somebody else's family and nobody else does either they just want to know how to take out and replace any commercial therapy and paid for. This is my opinion I have a right to it
Don't believe everything they say, or you see on internet. When you are there, just try, see, think, experiment, until you find out what to do. I just did my Kia soul 2012 very similar of this on the video and I has to remove two bolts from strut to knuckle. Only like that I could remove the axle from inside the hub bearing. No transm fluid out.
Don't remove the ball joint, it will a pain in the ass to put it back and will hold the hub/bearing/knuckle in place. Just remove the two bolts holding knuckle to strut.
