This game looks great! Saw it on Jen's part one top ten video and wondered about it. Nice to see the runthrough. I also love the theme and the art style. Reminds me of the game of Life, but actually strategic!

Had to laugh at "I don't know if I necessarily care about a job" when your secret goal happens to be collecting stuff and they've got that money icon on the bottom. INCOME!!!

At the end of every round (or in the case of a 2-player game, every turn), the leftmost card is removed, no matter where that is; not just the card on the leftmost board spot. Rahdo misses this several times because the card in the orange spot was “bought” and therefore one wasn’t removed.

Looks interesting. Not a fan of the art style (it's OK) but the theme works really well. Look forward to your final thoughts.

I don't like the art style either. :( I heard that The Pursuit of Happiness is a similar game. Maybe you would like it better.

Couldn't you have bought two cards in your first round also, Like Jen did? You had the dice for the one you bought and a Health dice + the health from the Chicken Pox in your hand that would allow you to get the Blood Donor card also... is that correct?

On your second turn you shouldn't you have been able to buy the apartment card after your frst roll because the College friends let you get a possession card for one less symbol.? Or am i misunderstanding it?

college friends let you get knowledge cards for one fewer symbol, not possessions :)

Rahdo could bought apartment for one smile dice and "First bank account" instead of two smile dice. But in this case he must drop "First bank account" card.

At 13:25 you talekd about the bank account - doesn't that let you buy for one symbol fewer, or does it have to be a $ symbol less?

could be one fewer of any symbol, not just cash, but it can only be used for possession cards :)

Cool game, nice run-through. It always fascinates and baffles me as to why Americans call University "College". I wonder where that came from?

I did that and read quite a lot on the subject but I found nothing that I would consider definitive. I read many interesting observations and opinions though. Anyhow, I just ordered CV and its expansion CV gossip, this will be a fantastic game for the GF and myself. Merci

what do you do if you can't buy anything after your turn? like nothing matches even with using cards.

then you accomplish nothing that turn, though i've never seen that happen

what if you don't want any of the cards on the board? what if you have the child but you don't want to pay for it even though you were still able to pay? trying to cover questions I know my friends will ask

then don't take any? though that means you're going to make yourself lose because all cards are worth getting. if you neglect your child, you lose it.
