Yo for the sequel that was rumored it is cannon Napoleon went on to own a huge farm with deb because he was so good with the ffa future farmers of America! And Jon gries uncle Rico is in another show called Dream Corp LLC and that could be the story. A 20 year Reunion at Preston high and uncle Rico gets rich Napoleon involved in a crazy adventure with the whole gang!

This Napolean Dynamite gathering and the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar (the 1973 movie) are my fave virtual reunions so far 🥰

"Where's your locker?"

Another idea to float: Napoleon's 14 yo son is the alpha, but still eccentric, male. He decides to go out on his own on a coming-of-age quest in nature, but returns every so often (with no shirt) to let Napoleon know how stupid he is. Napoleon reminds him that he's the one that taught him how to make a staff. He takes a cue from the wild streak in his son's heart and attempts to spring from his low point and win back his original love.

Summer seems confused about things

Okay, there are plenty of people living here that are hungry. Just saw a family/two kids on the corner. Not sure why are donations keep seeking people outside of the US.

It was mentioned that this film was about the characters working towards their dreams. The one scene that shows this the best is the look on Pedro's face right after Napoleon dances and the audience goes wild. The way he smiles and the look on his face is priceless. Then the movie cuts to the different characters, ending with Napoleon and Deb. It was such a good, heartwarming feeling.

I had the Vote for Pedro t-shirt, Im from Costa Rica, found it on a thrift shop, Funny I did not know at the time is was from a movie, I just liked the made. lol

One element I never see much mention of, is how Lafawnduh and her tape are such a key 'inciting incident' to the script. From Pedro's presidency, to Deb and Napoleon's reconciliation, to Kip's transformation. So much was set in motion, when she stepped off the bus.

When I watched this in 05, at age 23, I related to napolean, now that I'm 39 I'm 100% behind uncle rico. This movie is still rewatchable and has aged like fine wine, especially for a post 9/11 film. Wish all movies were like that but not the case at all.

What blew me away is that Rex's wife was actually a woman... I thought she was some kinda drag queen for sure.. But: "Carmen Brady played Rex's wife, Starla She is now a certified personal trainer and master bodybuilding champion" sorry, my bad !

Let's not grasp at straws trying to define it the movie is simple not complex it can be watched over and over because it's a great movie would be great even in black n white

The hubs and I just rewatched Napoleon for probably the hundredth time tonight. It's one of our favorite movies and we still quote it to this day. I love seeing you guys all together again, and will be keeping an eye out for that sequel!

I voted for Pedro.

I love the film because I was living close by in Unity Oregon, when it came out. We could really relate as highschool kids going to a school with 74 students k-12, including 10 exchange students.

Two scenes that make me cry EVERYTIME: 1. Trisha abandons Napoleon at the dance and hangs out with Summer and Don instead. 2. Napoleon tells Pedro with sincerity and conviction, "I'd vote for you."

In the next Hollywood film with a time machine (Back to the Future, Austin Powers), Uncle Rico goes back to '82 to win the state championship. ❤

In Napoleon 2, Uncle Rico is changing a tire on his van on the side of the road in Preston, ID. A DeLorean drives through town and decides to pull over and help him change the tire. The jack broke so they both hop in the DeLorean to buy a new one in town. During the drive, Uncle Rico tells the stranger about his football career in '82. The stranger reveals that they're riding in a time machine and asks Uncle Rico if he wants to go back to '82. The rest is history. ❤

Watched NAPOLEAN DYNOMITE again last night. It, like Christmas Story, is a 'must' in my yearly diaries. Thanks for a great, fun, story, where cussing is not missed. Your film is in my Top 10, with Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings,Blade Runner, Gummo, Kubriks catalogue, Christmas Story, Sideways, and THE FOUR HANDED PART ( my 10 minute film ).
