Cyberman helmet build tutorial

Sorry nothing digital at mo it was all done by hand. As soon I get them done they will go on my Facebook page.

I did the plans on paper and played about with them till I felt they was right and fit. I'm hoping to take the photo of them on the foam and put it on the computer and draw it up as a digital file. When that is done I'll post it up in the RPF.

Have worked on the invasion template the only hard part is the face plate being in one. It's getting the face chin and neck to work. But will be on it soon.

Im looking to try my first cosplay as the Invasion Cyberman, and I loved this tutorial! Will definitely try and follow the steps you did when I try mine :) and will keep an eye out for the tricky face plate

Hi I am planing on rebuilding this cybermen helmet so will redo the tutorial in more depth than just the pics. I will sort the template out in digital format as I'd done it all by hand back then. I'm also been looking at the invasion/revenge style helmet so that might come later. Also the new series cyber warrior helmet as it has some classic look to it. +XML studios the template was done by hand so nothing on computer yet to send out. On both helmets.

If you ever do it, could you make a video about it?

It is very roomy once the helmet was on. For wearing at cons for long periods I managed to get a couple of little fans inside for air flow. People could hear me reasonably well but when I Finnish the full costume I got a voice modular for it so had a little microphone inside helmet fixed with bit of velcro, the speaker was in the chest unit. This is getting old and very worn now I'm thinking of remaking it this year so might do an updated tutorial. Thanks for watching!

I'm sure that's possible. Just need a Clare plastic you can mould to bend or already curved

Sorry as I've said before I don't have them as digital files as made by hand. If you take a screen shot of image where I show it all laid out you can use that to make a template. Hope that helps

Ive got a few other Cyberman helmets planned so the new style one will be on way at some point.
