Just as a heads up, if you missed this in-game or want to revisit it. Alex will gift you a braindance copy of the performance at the end of the mission You Know My Name, which you can find in the Megabuilding H10 apartment in Little China, Watson.
This is fantastic to watch, and didn’t notice it was Lizzy as was in ‘quest’ mode. My only issue with the brain dance that when you kill Hansen the BD changes the scene to his funeral wake not the party audience when you watch b4 he dies…. So after she’s performing it at his wake. Hope they change it back to the party audience scene.
@@alrowiepicardo8135 only if you have done her mission before. She just said "perhaps ill see you later". When i did her mission later we talked about seeing her at the party
The BD is kinda bugged. The funny bug is after killing Hansen, the area has Hansen's funeral and Lizzy is dancing on his coffin. It is hilarious. The other bug is more serious. The in-game clock gets stuck after viewing the braindance, the easy way to fix it to do a quest which stops the clock (so any main story or a side job that advances or stops time) for story reasons and then when the clock is enabled after a quest it goes back to normal.
This is without a doubt my all time favorite experience in any video game EVER! Honestly the visuals, the lyrics, the voice and the cheography. I was simply in awe when i saw it in-game
And the comeback's strong after knowing the talent for the show's someone you already came across as the gig client in the base game Now come to think of it, who would be on the stage if you didn't help Lizzy out?
the moment she started floating I got goosebumps will never forget the first time I saw this in-game. It was well after midnight, I'd been playing through the DLC for like four hours, sleep exhausted, ready to save and quit and go to bed, and then I did this mission. Absolutely surreal. Anyone who says video games aren't art is full of shit.
I was mesmerized. I totally forgot I was playing a video game. It had a tangible vibe that I haven't felt with any other game, ever. Yes anyone who says games can't be art is a fool. I mean some of the scenes in Mass Effect are pretty surreal as well.
damn i never heard this one & i finished the game during 2020.. this whole thing felt Fresh and New my god it close to beating my favorite song in the game "i really wanna stay at your house"
As a gam-dev, can you guys even imagine just how much thought and programming went into this? Beyond stunning. What an absolute masterpiece of coding and originality. "Blown away" doesn't begin to describe thiis. Whoever all worked on this... Just "wow." In every sense.
In Cyberpunk Edgerunners they pulled off synchronization of polish song with the scene. Song is in polish, communication between cdpr and studio Trigger is in english, and studio production staff probably talks only in jap. And they managed to do it pefrectly despite alredy complex production pipeline of anime series
Honestly theres not much custom programming at work here other than what the engine already provides, it's mostly animation and vfx work. Still hella cool though.
It's also very Grimes so my hope is that it was a collaborative effort. Like CDPR said "hey we can do you an in-game music video basically, what do you want to include in it?"
When I saw this performance, Idk I felt CP 2077 has achieved the AAAA status it always deserved. Props to the devs and the game for giving such a beautiful experience.
So great perfomance in the middle of the special operation made me feel lonely and happy at the same time, made me think about all the shit V's been through, about fast life she lives, about how tragic and sensual her path is, full of different emotions and situation she deals with just to make it out alive. This feeling is a mix of tragedy, pure happiness, lonelyness, calmness and passion. All triggered in my heart only by this perfomance, this song. I've felt like i was there. Masterpiece.
This game is a masterpiece like The Witcher 3 before it. What a work of art and passion by CDPR. Truly BREATHTAKING. It’s crazy that an expansion is better than 99% of AAA games nowadays. Take notes Bethesda.
Phantom Liberty is actually the game that cdpr promised. And they did it in 2 years while having half the team dealing with bugs in the original game. I wonder what they actually did for the 7 years to have such a messed up release.
so basically when this show started out of nowhere during the mission i pretty much left real life for 4 minutes, i had the game on RT overdrive and had a damn good headset and this started suddenly i forgot everything around me irl and just starred at my monitor until it was over then i kinda snapped back into reality like wtf was that masterpiece outta nowhere lol
@@normannseils3936 What blows me away is the caliber of writing we got in PL compared to the base game; If CDPR had worked on the base game for a bit longer, they could've come away with a story that rivaled RDR2. Both are excellent games in their own right, RDR2 simply got the dev time it needed before it launched.
@@JLM-y5g yes, it’s amazing, it’s a bit loose to the end, it should have closed more focused, having to wait for the finale after the final few missions felt a bit off.
Dude the moment the lights went out I sat there wondering 'OK.. What's going on, why is nobody panicking?' Then the stage lit up, and I sat there for the entire thing. Greatest thing I've seen In a game... Since ever. I don't recall anything that made me sit there entranced like this.
Red Dead Redemption 1 has one of these too. theres no music in the whole game and then in one scene 20 hours into the game, when your're riding to mexico towards the sunset theres a song playing all of a sudden. holy shit. i think red dead 2 had a similar scene.
@@KaptainKerl For the one in RDR2; Arthur's made up his mind and is on his final ride to settle things with the gang. Song's name is "That's the Way It Is".
The performance actually represent the three characters and their history in the story: Songbird being Lizzy with the wings, Reed being the wolf, and Myers being the spider. The bird look up to the wolf (Reed took Songbird into FIA and saw her just like his own daughter), until the wolf being held by the chains (Went undercover in dogtown). Without her protector, the bird is now trapped in the web of the spider (Songbird is now controled by Myers), until she break free and fall into the void. (The killing moon ending)
When i first saw the concert i thought the spider was representing Songbird because she was so sus, and tbh i was right to think that. The wolf was obvious. But Lizzy being songbird is so obvious now after finishing the story and Myers is the spider which caught her in her web of lies, deceit and manipulation. The wolf is just a tool for the spider to use as she pleases.
@@astrojeet lol I think So mi was terrible at lying and manipulating people so never thought of her as the spider I felt it from the get go when I never understood how someone manage to remotely hack the plane when So mi one of the best netrunner of nusa was inside the plane and just jack in and take control of the plane
Plus the lyrics tell us of a time when her manager and boyfriend tried to turn her into a Relic shard. You wanna keep me yours forever But it was all a game
Many times throughout the DLC the cast of characters have referred to songbird as a nuke, or nuke-like weapon of destruction. I think what we're seeing here with lizzy falling is supposed to be a metaphor for that, her being dropped from the sky like a nuke and making impact with the ground, hence the fire-like digital explosion you see as lizzy passes the threshold into the dropped-floor
Or it could be about Grimes and Elon Musk you guys. She thinks she tames him (the wolf) and even marries him (the diamonds) but ends up caught in his web (the spider) but then has a baby (foetal position) and is freed (re-entry). Or it could be the thing that's relevant to the actual game characters too I guess.🤣🤣
I legit thought my game bugged out when the lights turned off.. It was an amazing feeling watching this.. one of the best moment in this DLC.. there the BD in your apartment to watch this again from up close.
This has been my fav song in the game since the day it released in 2020 - when I played through Phantom Liberty this scene had to be one of the best I’ve ever seen in a video game 🙌🏻
Кто придумал сценарий и тот кто это рисовал, просто гении, хлопаю стоя. Когда играл и увидел эту сцену у меня просто в груди защемило, я был в восторге :)
Throughout the whole Cyberpunk game, this is one of the moments I remember most as making me feel most immersed in the world. Suddenly I'm not a merc murder-hoboing my way through Night City; I'm a bystander at a bar, taking a minute to enjoy something before returning to the fight of my life.
what a fucking masterpiece on multiple levels... videogame wise and musical wise... this is true art imo! and im usually not a pop fan by any means but the fact this appears in a video game really shows the love and dedication for the pure purpose of creation... thats what makes it so good for me! i also love the fact they added a BD in Vs apartment of this! they really knew what they did there! just epic!
This was so epic... Because it was like an overshadow, the visuals of a chained dog, and what looks like brain waves, and the lyrics. Songbird and V can relate.
This whole scene cannot be captured in a pre-recorded medium like RU-vid. Anyone watching this that has yet to play the game please go and experience it first hand. Moving from discussion with your team after talking to a bunch of characters from TV ads and the in-game radio at a “gala” to this out of nowhere is a spectacle. I was stunned into silence for the entire performance. Grimes and CDPR knocking it out of the park.
I thought I was the only crazy one that was very impressed with this scene in Phantom Liberty and went to RU-vid to search for it and look up for the name of the song. Seems I'm not the only one and out there are 20K people like me, one of the best show performance I've ever seen in video games. Well done CDPR!!
This scene truly captivated me! I really couldn't take my eyes off it ❤️ The amount of work that had to go into that, it was simply a pleasure to experience ❤️❤️
What a moment this was. Unexpected as it's there has never been anything like this before. Bravo to the entire team that put this and the rest of the Phantom Liberty expansion together. Similar praise to the actors using their craft to entertain us with an absolute gripping story.
I wish there was someone spying on my computer camera when I was experiencing this in-game. you could watch my stupid face having a dumb smile the entirety of the performance not touching the controller. Simply wonderful, CDPR well done
The scene totally took me by surprise...I always loved the music..but being in the middle of all the spy stuff going on..in those type of thoughts and suddenly hearing the music and seeing the scene play out. It blew my mind...had tears.
Truly one of my favorite moments for the DLC. Absolutely breathtaking and incredible! I’m so glad I like doing the optional missions because otherwise I would have missed this beaut! I’m sad that you can’t revisit this area after the mission and see more songs or artists. That was a missed opportunity… but maybe in Cyberpunk 2 we’ll get more cool situations like this! This is art!
Это лучший перформанс который встречал в игре, просто вау. Помню как зацепила эта песня на выходе игры, но блин как круто они ее обыграли в этой сцене, просто аплодирую стоя. Очень красиво.
When i saw this on my playthrough, my jaw just dropped and forget everything in reality and imagine myself there in the game witnessing this legendary scene.
Did this mission last night. Can honestly say this was the best non action experience I have ever had in a video game. What COMPLETELY sold the realism of the moment was seeing the waitstaff working down on the main floor during the performances. Was blown away.
When i first saw this in game it was amazing. What an amazing scene for this game. The music and vibe really fits Night City. Hits home when this music is so good, get emotional.
Maybe a niche reference but this is so reminiscent of something you would see in Carole & Tuesday, and I mean that as the highest form of compliment! This was enchanting
I really loved this and its definitely a scene i wont soon forget, it was one of those instant goosebump moments .... They really play with your feelings in this expansion ... Loving it
I’m playing PL so slow right now and just completed this mission this part caught me by surprise. I was on the railing but HAD to go down and be upfront once I saw it was an actual concert and just that emulating what I do in real life this is honestly a wonderful time for gaming this song is beautiful
She only gives this if you finish off her questline before starting this mission. If you didn't, V and Lizzy just say that they may possibly meet each other again.
This song has so many meaning, especially in here 1:28 this how Songbird feels now, getting caged and being used by Myers and just want to live free, this song literally about Songbird.
esto fue realmente majestuoso e insuperable!! ningun juego/dlc creo que podra competir con este momento, verlo dentro del juego fue una de las mejores experiencias que he experimentado en toda mi vida, fue hermoso ♥
If they ever made a new Cyberpunk anime.....this song could be just as iconic as I Really Want to Stay at Your House. Could totally see it being used for an anime about that Max Tac chick from the trailers that you meet in the game, with the song being centered around her and the Max Tac officer pointing his gun at her...kind of a Tristan and Isolde twist on Robocop
This shit was INSANE to watch in game, felt very special something like this in a game that looks this good also, Imagine watching shows like this in the future...
I had the good fortune of envying the man standing right infront of the stange and ran over there just in time for this to start 1:40 I'll remember this on my deathbed
I’m so glad you captured it all ❤ this gave me chills when I first saw it in-game. One of the coolest scenes and songs I’ve ever heard, in game or in real life tbh.
I didn't know we would get the recording of it as a gift after the mission, so I made a save file specially to rewatch the performance over and over again. That's how good it was
The transition from V and Reed's espionage mission to Lizzy's performance seemed wonderfully organic to me, God, I didn't follow the mission because I kept watching the entire show, it gave me a feeling of loneliness and sadness but at the same time of hope, I assume that's how V feels I can't believe how this game makes me feel
This is the perfect analogy to the situation that Songbird is in. I think she represents herself with the chained wolf and the spider at the MIA that wants to trap her. The end of her song I presume represents the ending where you save her and send her to the moon. Perfection.
A lot of comments on the visuals, its absolutely stunning.. what really got me into this scene was the vibration in my controller matching the bass to the song. Helped make it feel like i was there.
This filled me with memories of the performance I witnessed at the Marine core ball when I was in MCJROTC and I teared up a bit. I really miss my homies from HS
This game is already one of my top ever played if not my top one. When this happened in-game (last night) I didn't expect it.. it was so unexpected (yes i avoided all media about cyberpunk like the plague since release). THIS is what I want from a game. And yes this is my favorite type of music so it helped a lot in the experience.
