Going to be maybe a decade or a few more breakthroughs in rendering technology until we see this on consoles. It will be interesting to see what comes after we accomplish photo realism across the board. When you don’t need to focus on graphical fidelity anymore, what can you add for an enhanced gaming experience? I think this is where VR will become the de facto standard for gaming in the future. We can essentially hop in and out of photorealistic worlds with our own identities and assets.

No Mate. I have this and a 4090 and I've run unreal 5 stuff that IS in fact photo realistic. As in indiscernible from real life. Just take a look at body cam which was made by two kids in Europe and imagine what a triple A team can do with the engine.

I saw someone try it with 3080. It works but the fans are so loud XD Also heats up so fast so you can't play all day with the mod. He said he only plays for 2 hours at most but he always puts it on during cutscenes and when he just wants to enjoy Nightcity. He also said it's sometimes too tiring in the eyes
