temperature control is needed, since this motor has a propensity to overheat. I hope that CYC can get get a handle on this motor's overheating problem, as I would like to put it on one of my bikes.

Heya, it only overheats if you ride it over 750w consistently. Any motor consistently pushed past its nominal watts will have similar issues.
