Not sure the name of the insects but I've seen the same things in the Alps in summer! Often connected at the bum with two trying to walk different ways from eachother 😂
Hi Guys, missing you. Hope you are both Okay. I enjoyed 2 1/2 years cycle touring Africa and your journey brings back great memories. Married now and settled in Canada with my wife Tina from Tanzania.
Hi Steve & Tina! Am having trouble with my pc and so am saving up for another to continue with the edit, next ep should be ready in the coming weeks if all goes to plan. Whereabouts did you tour in Africa? I'd love to go back already, especially compared to gray London... All the best!
Thanks, it's an old Specialized AWOL that I got second hand for £300 and have since done some upgrades on. Heavy steel frame, probably too heavy in retrospect! If you're looking for good bikes to buy have a look at the channel CyclingAbout, he's done some videos comparing lots of different kind of touring bikes. If you've got more money to spend something with a belt drive and internal gear hub would last a long time and be very convenient but you can cycle around the world on pretty much anything, as long as it's comfortable. On that note, I really recommend suspension seat posts! You can get cheapish ones for about £70
I'm using Komoot, but I bought it when it was a one-off payment, I don't know if it'd be worth it as a monthly subscription though. One good alternative would be maps.me, or just Google maps if you're travelling in countries that are served by Google cycle maps
Approx $5USD per day, but this can go up some weeks with unexpected costs like visas or flights. I fund everything myself, at the moment I am back in London working as a bike courier, saving for next travels :)
“Unfortunately no available butter in Africa” - don’t sound like a fool, I am a Zimbabwean we have some of the best butter in the World . This is a racist pre-conceived notion. Very condescending of you !
