I feel like y'all discussed a very important notion of rap that is often times overlooked. anyone can be a "rapper" but the ability to rap is a skill that has technical application! cy hi the prince is a very good representation of hood content supported by lyrical ability, which is an important aspect of what it means to be an artist!

What I love about y'all is how you go back and forth between metal and rap. I came from heavy rock, but my buddy here in H-Town is a rapper. He has shown me so much about the metaphors used by rappers and how they tie it right back to reality. Some of the rappers I've heard are lyrically so amazing it blows my mind. To hear how Kanye, Em, Jay-Z that can tie in double entendres and metaphors to make the picture they are painting make more sense. I like how you just broke down the slang for us light skinned brothers too. The fact NO ONE has translated brings it into context. Thanks for what y'all do. i'll be watching all these videos.

I Love Chyi, but I just feel like Kanye puts him on the backburner as his ghost writer and never gives him the opportunities he deserves. To all the metalheads, If you're talking about mainstream hip hop then yes, most of it is pretty wack, but as far as the underground scene there are thousands of lyricists creating beautiful and innovative bodies of work. Check out their reactions to Oswin Benjamin, Locksmith, Mick Jenkins, Chris Rivers, Akala, Nick grant, King Los, etc.. I love metal just as much as the next guy, but I will always support anyone who is trying to empower the lesser known artists. I support real hip hop, not only because they deserve the attention, but because I've seen with my own eyes how lyricism can open the door and create in interest for some of these kids in the hood to pursue higher education and systems of thought. Salute to Lost in Vegas of keeping it real!!

Luckily and unluckily, I know and grew up with both sides of the "rough" life . Both south side, but one was drug dealers and gangbangers ,others moonshiners , and illegal farmers . So I got both music genres as well , hip hop , rap so on , to rock and well as much as I don't have the utmost love for country as I do the others it's still one of the genres I grew up in . Respect the channel , keep doing what y'all are doing . Will definitely come back and spread the love .

Now this is what I was talking about in last video. The last half of this song saved it for me. I look at total package. Main thing is content. As one of the lyrics on a past song said "Take in life get out life" (or close to it) I believe the same is for lyrics. Take in good lessons and avoid trouble. Take in enough garbage (IMO) and you start reflecting what you're consuming. I liked the way this song worked. As you stated throughout the beat changed, which changed the mode/emotion (what music is supposed to hit to move you ) to a meaningful end. Yes the beat is good the message is good- everything! Great song. And because I trust you guys is why I stuck with it. That and there was no annoying autoloop overpowering the rest of the music. Good vid guys.

That was a pretty decent track. Solid lyrics, cool changes, not the same beat from front to back. This really caught my attention. Good one, guys :) Daily recommendation - "CruciA - Circuit Break" or "CruciA & Audioscribe - The Architect" The first one is a breakbeat and the second one - neuro/dubstep with reggae influences, both done right. Not 100% sure, but still pretty confident you haven't listened to anything that even comes close to these tracks. Pay no attention to the thumbnails btw :D
