I address a couple issues assembling and disassembling the cylinder on the SRH 454 Casull before installing the cylinder shims which is on the second video.

The last video you did regarding front sight replacement, you used hi viz as a replacement sight. But now it looks like a totally different front sight, a higher looking front sight?

Yeah... I installed the XS big dot sight, and I'm not too happy with it. I lowered the rear sight all the way down and it still shoots way too high. But I got something coming that I'm going to try, and I know it will be right on the money!

When do you recommend to take the whole gun apart and clean it.

After I purchase a revolver, I will put at least 50 rounds through it to make sure it works properly. Then I will completely disassemble it to clean it. After that it depends on usage. The cylinder would only be disassembled to install shims, or if it feels gritty or sticky when spinning or pushing ejector. The trigger assembly you can clean as often as you like. I don't like a dirty gun, so when I see the brown residue, I may just wipe it off a couple times and then completely disassemble it. Of course the barrel I clean after every use ranging from running a bore snake through the barrel and cylinders, to a serious cleaning using the usual solvents and bore brush until things are spick and span. And that all depends on how many rounds I put down the barrel.... I don't know if that helps but that may be a good subject for a video... Let me know if you have any more questions.
