i was worried about how cypher would fair on this map, but seeing more gameplay really makes me happy and confident using him here. its much more cypher friendly than i originally thought. i love that there are little lips around the map so you can throw some trips in odd places.
That lurk spot by the wire jump is a great cage spot. It blocks off any enemies from seeing that area and makes people die from your judge the moment they make a sound from the cage.
So wholesome watching these guys just have fun playing the game instead of getting mad, also the map isnt even out yet and acre's already making meta plays
im a radiant omen main, and i also coach friends / friends of friends for free occasionally, i have mixed opinions on the map whilst it does inherrently look really fun, im seeing a lot of long angles, far longer than ones we have in game currently. One thing that plagues even me constantly is valorants first bullet accuracy. if you are unaware, besides ults like neons and jetts, the guardian, marshal, op and outlaw, guns have what is just a numerical multiplier on them that dictates how far a bullet can stray from the centre of your crosshair, even when youre not under the effects of movement / firing error. i think it was tenz who showed off just how insane the first bullet multipliers are in valorant, as you can see the effects of them even at 20 meters. people may think that this isnt important, but longer angles on a map for valorant essentially means your gun is going to feel more inconsistent, which is already a big problem in valorant as it is to further give validity to this concern, when i started playing valorant i was placed bronze 3. i ranked up to diamond within a month by crutching reyna and a guardian after finding out about the first bullet accuracy multipliers (the guardian doesnt have one if i didnt already clarify, meaning it is pin point accurate, like a jett knife, provided youre not moving, being flinched or under firing error you can feel the difference on maps like breeze, on ascent especially on angles like market to top mid, tiles to tree- i dont main the guardian anymore, but i do pull it out if i find myself being diffed on angles like that, because i know it isnt my aim, and i always prove it when i challenge it the next round with the guardian. i frequently pull the guardian out to see if my aim is actually just sub par for the day or if im just getting valoranted, and 99% of the time, i was getting valoranted. the only map where i almost always use the guardian 100% of the time is breeze, but this map, i wont be using the guardian because of the angles, but because of how large the advantage will be for the guardian. on the angles i mentioned on ascent, you can definitely still challenge a guardian even if you are at a slight disadvantage, but if everyone is running a vandal or a phantom? this map is going to be a free win for me and players like fishychair
i have a serious question, does riot things this is fun, like every 5th player in my plat lobbys are smurfs/trolls. they gonna block me/breach ult me/raze satchel me the hell of this map, thx riot for nothing
hey Acre i found some cams(and cages btw) on Lotus that i think you would maybe like. is there a way i could reach out to you and show you it?(1 cam on Acent) (and one i think two way on bind)
Cypher is good on this map but deadlock actually might fair better for this map as the wall works incredibly well for a map like this and her trips can function like cypher trips due to jumping through such distances mostly requires sound so it would fair well against raze, neon, yoru etc.
obviously, cypher is also really good for this map as this map requires a ton of info to work around (from what I've seen, this map is like a horror game map and would require an extensive amount of info to not get "jump scared", this map might actually be the best for rats and lurkers but only to a certain extent)
