I recorded every exercise I did on Friday. This entire workout program is a small part of what Tom Meadows uses to train his elite, national team, and Olympic athletes (with some slight modifications... I am NOT a world class gymnast). Rate, comment, subscribe, and enjoy! If you have any questions about certain exercises, comment on the video and I'll try my best to answer!

I remember Cypress. I used to compete for Texas Tumblers back in the day, Cypress would always walk away with awards. Great gym.

Very effective training regime. I have one question though. How does one develop strength in the pressing area's (eg straddle leg presses and especially legs together)?

if you stay hollow at the bottom of the exercise you don't achieve full extension of your abdominal chain. by opening the hips and arching the small of the back a greater range of motion is reached which is much more functional (especially for a gymnast)

So hard to know how gymnast train I really, want to become one at home al I got is a pull up bar and gymnastic rings and even idk if most gymnast do circuit training cause idk how they get so strong and flexible at the same time.

At 14:23, i do that on parallel bars (just narrow enough for my shoulders to rest on... what is it called? does it have a name? i've always wanted to know! it feels like planche training, like a mix of a candlestick/dragon flag and a planche/lever

What is the purpose of the third exercise? (incline pushup position against the pommel horse & then flipping over) Just stretching/opening up the hips?

May I ask how old you are? Or approximate age? I am pushing 42. I used to be able to do this stuff when I was younger. I am afraid now that I will just injure myself.

+101AVERAGEJOE I am 42 in two months and I still train almost at this level. I promise you, if you take it easy to start with, your body will remember. As we get older it is more important never to stop. It will come back.

+Robert Crisall That really is amazing man. I let "life" take over my passion for gymnastics and martial arts. Over the years I have turned my focus on everything and everyone else (career, family, etc.) and forgot about me. I have gotten so out of shape and have gained a lot of weight. This video is very motivating for me though. I will be 42 in May and the difference between you and I is disgusting. It's disgusting because I used to be there, and I should STILL be there, but I just let it go....

Sorry! I didn't see it. Calves, jump straight legs on soft mat, sprint, tuck jump. I was saying heavy work out for the legs with dumbbells or a bar. Maybe they don't need it.
