Hi thanks for doing your videos. I put my Cz 457 in the bravo chassis and torqued it to the required specs and I found that I lost accuracy. I believe it came from the torque screw on the top area behind the tang of the action. They seem to have incorporated an articulating pivot point here. Ive played with the torque settings and found that if I torqued it to 30 inch pounds instead of the suggested 45 inch pounds my accuracy improved. But I'm not sure if I gained all my accuracy back. I found the original wooden stock to preform quite well. Did you find the same thing when you installed your rifle into this chassis? Maybe you could do a follow up and explain why they have added this pivot point in there chassis and if intact this improves or degraded accuracy. Thanks
Is it still possible to use the 5 round mags with the anarchy outdoors mag extension? And does the stock mag release still work while in the KRG stock?
Could you tell me the overall lengh of the rifle? I am planing to replace my MTR stock with krg bravo. My case is only 101cm long, so i am afraid it will not fit when i change my stock. Thanks in advance.
KRG does offer a Tool-less Buttpad Height & Cant Pad - the Alum. one is listed as $68.99 US & a Polymer version is just $39.99 US - are you sure they don't want $450.00 for the stock WITH the adjustable buttpad? In the US the KRG Bravo for the 457 is $369.99 so that's about $440.00 for both.
I know this is an old video, but I am curious what torque setting your found best for the action screws? I'm just having a hard time swallowing 45 in/lb that is recommending by KRG in the assembly instructions.
@@Womfat Thanks for the resppnse. I have gotten feedback ranging from 25-55 in/lb in Bravo and MDT. I'll start with recommended 45 and move around from there. I appreciate it!

Excellent point regarding the magwell. I found it very difficult to make smooth/fast mag changes with this chassis as well, but was able to craft a magazine funnel that solved the problem completely. This is a significant issue that the average person will not be able to fix. KRG really should address this issue.
Yup, totally agree. I'm looking into making a funnel for it as well. I'm almost positive this issue is because KRG wants to minimize the amount of forend moulds to limit production costs/time. So they simply use the same one as a centerfire for this rimfire platform.
Disliked the magwell so much I left without giving a like. Had to come back and say thanks for the review: you saved me from making a purchase I'd surely regret since I probably would have chosen this over the other one with the more traditional butstock.
I just picked up a 457 varmint in left hand. I cant find an after market stock to save my ass. This is xausing issues if i wish to compete. In your opinion, how hard would it be to converg a krg bravo to left hand.
Matt thanks for sharing great detailed opening you answered many of my questions. Would love to see you and your wife with the KRG Join the Dayattherange 22Challenge/Callout www.dayattherange.com/?page_id=7184 that would be to cool.
Because of you, I've become obsessed with CZ rimfire rifles in 22lr. Initially I bought a CZ 455 in 22lr with a carbon sleeve barrel, and 'wow!' it is a tack driver. At 50 yards with cheap plinking ammo, I was shooting sub-MOA. Now I'm getting a CZ 457 pro-varmint tactical for pumping rounds down at the range, in addition to rabbit and fox hunting here in Australia. Liked and subscribed!
Can you please explain the magazines? Do these chasis take AICS 22 lr magazines? Are 22 lr aics mags even a thing? why wouldn't your wife use those instead of trying to fiddle with the small magazines?
You can get the bravo for rem 700/AICS mags, but this is the 457 rimfire specific version. The 457 cannot accept AICS sized 22lr mags so that's not an option.
I need your advice, please :) I am thinking of building a CZ 457, do you think the pencil barrel 457 is just as good as the Varmin bull barrel (nonmatch chamber)? 457 MTR is too expensive here in New Zealand, MTR ($1800), synthetic pencil barrel ($999), and Varmint bull barrel ($1270) many thanks
My channel follows my experiences competing, so I highlight the competitive side of what I do. I still shoot for fun and there are way more shooters who just go out to have fun than compete..
Received a KRG Bravo chassis for my CZ 457 yesterday and when I tried to install it on the barreled action, the chassis does not fit tight. It rocks front to back like a tetter/totter approximately 1/32 plus or minus. Any help will be appreciated.
One of the reasons I subscribed to your channel is because of videos like this one. I am taking possession of a Pro Varmint with the Bravo Chassis on it in a couple days. I was debating about that chassis and whether I wanted to keep it or go with an ACC chassis. Right off the bat I was going to put on the adjustable butt and I too was looking at the 300 american for that butt compared to the 400 the whole chassis cost. Now the ACC is 1300 american and you can see the math on that. I dont like fumbling for the mags as you demonstrated. I also appreciate ease of installing addons on the ACC. I am budget minded and recently purchased an Oryx for my 455 build. I like how that system is for a budget. As far as spacers for length of pull Im going to cut off PVC just to get the sizing that feels good to me and buy some aluminum round stock, cut it to the same length, drill it, and install to get is spaced. Spray it black, put in longer screws and call it a day. I like the way you explain things and make it easy for a novice, like myself, to have some fun with this on the cheap.
My wife also likes the Harris bipod over the atlas for her NRL22 rifle. We'll see if that changes once she starts shooting against other people. One week to go until her first competition.
Could I just order the bravo chassis and the order parts separately to just build one from scratch? What would be the best website to buy the parts? I didn't want to buy the gun then turn around and buy chassis.and upgrade trigger etc. Thanks in advance
Good for you to get your wife shooting, but who is going to record all your great videos at Battle Hill Farms? Thanks for all you do! Peace Be To Journey!
I have the KRG (black) on a 16.5 MTR, really like it. Feels great and I did see an improvement after it was installed. I also have a 20" 457 MTR that I wanted in a chassis. I wanted some variety so I did not shop another KRG, so I went to look at an MDT XRS - boy did it feel and look cheap compared to the KRG. After putting an Oryx in my hands, I was immediately smitten. All I can say is WOW! The fun factor (and accuracy) went way up with that action in an Oryx.
Hi, do you have the Anarchy Outdoors Magwell filler installed in that 457 model KRG Bravo? I've read it helps allot and am considering a 457 Bravo set-up myself. I'd appreciate your input on that.
what do you think about the Grey Birch chassis? i usually shoot large cal... but i had so much fun shooting my little girl's Summit.. that i now want to build a couple more.. and i only spent around $20. in ammo! lol 1 full mag usually costs me double.. and is over in less than a minute.. and i just found a 457 with the 20" heavy barrel at my local shop.. i'm scooping it up in the next day or 2. hope you and the wife are kicking butt at your matches
Yeah I was following the xrs since it’s release. It looks like another great option, but still no rimfire inlet available for it. It basically was made to compete with the bravo haha
I know this is an older video but does she still like it? I just got a cz457 LRP and wondering if the bravo is better than the stock. I was really wanting a element 4.0 magnesium but I'm not waiting 25 to 30 weeks to get one.
We don't have this particular Bravo anymore as we sold that 457, but it was great. I got another Bravo for my 10/22 which I love. Another to consider in the same price point would be the MDT XRS.
Hey Matt, love the channel. A couple of questions.. Just bought a cz457 with a KRG Bravo chassis and find it a bit small, wondering if you know how many length of pull spacers t will take? It currently has 3. Also, have you tried your buddies Bergara b14r rifle? I'm torn between selling my current rifle and getting a Bergara. Any thoughts on the Bravo vs. Bergara b14r stock. Cheers and I wanna buy a shooting bag off of ya next summer ;)
Hey thanks! I'm not sure how many it can take with the screws that come in the box, I suggest contacting KRG for an accurate answer. I haven't shot his B14, but he seems to quite like it. Is it worth selling your 457 for? Probably not, unless you're looking for something specific.
If you change the stock it puts you in open class for NRL22 right? So wouldn't you be better off running it with the factory stock in base class since you are are using factory action and barrel? If your scope is less than $500.
I believe you're talking about the accessory from Anarchy Outdoors. It was not released yet when I filmed this video, but it does work quite well. I know several shooters who are using that with their CZ 457 Bravos.
for a cz 457 mtr match chamber and barrell 20 '' , they must feet very well !! what can you tell about that ? this chassy with a custom paint , finishes a killer rifle !! nice video , and how about the performance of your wife after the video ? greats 🇵🇹 .
Well after much consideration and deliberation, I've decided to build a CZ 457 similar to Dory's. I think it will be a better option for my wife and daughters instead of the Ruger Precision Rimfire currently being used. What is the weight of Dory's CZ 457 KRG Bravo set-up?
@@Womfat Gotcha, coz I have one Krg Bravo chassis for my T1x which doesn't come with the takedown screws. And I also want to order one for my CZ457 setup, so I can do side by side comparison these two rimfire rifles. Thanks,
Been following you with the MDT for some time. This is another great video. Thanks. Can you tell me what the velcro magazine pouch is and where you got it?
@@Womfat Wow! Are you willing to share the size, design? I would love to make one. I am in the UK but maybe post covid I could pop over and shoot a match with you?....
@@michaelbrooks2139 For sure, contact me via email or instagram and I can send you some more detailed pictures. I love meeting viewers at matches, that would be awesome! Who knows how long this Covid thing will last though eh
Besides the ARCA rail, what else is needed to mount a Harris bipod? I saw KRG has an ARCA clamp and a Harris direct mount. Is the ARCA rail needed or is that just for infinite adjustability of the bipod?
A Harris bipod only needs a sling stud to mount. The arca rail is if you want to run your bipod on a clamp for infinite adjustability, as well as use other arca rail accessories
This is a cluster a big headache to put together I would not have one as a gift for free it's a mess believe me I am going to throw this thing away 427 bucks it's junk. Beagleman
