Got two of these p09s they are so sweet I actually found a tier 1 holster that I can carry appendix it goes everywhere with me and I trust them completely thanks for the videos boys love em
I own P09 since 2019, and shooting 2000-3000 rounds every year. NOT even a single problem so far, neither a multination. Factory set up. The trigger specially the last year is so sweet that has empress more expensive gun owners. P09 is not a top performing gun but… is the “go to” gun. It will never betray you. Looking to buy shadow 2 for more competition accuracy, but P09 never leave my side.
Mine has been rock solid. It's a well built and durable pistol. The magazines are of very good quality also. It's a solid duty pistol and makes for a good home defense choice too. It much more comfortable in the hand than a Glock 17. This is one of those solid pistols that can flex into several different roles.
The decocker can be converted to true safety as well. That changeout comes in the box. Just bought a P-09 and really looking forward to hitting the range soon!
Mine didn’t come with the safety in the box. I always knew that was an option but mine didn’t come with it. Mine was decocker only. Maybe they started doing that recently adding it with purchase. I did buy mine 3 years ago. Thanks again for watching
In the past 6 months I have absolutely fell in love with all of Cz products. I’m going to finally get my first one real soon. Still on the fence about a P07, P01, P10S and this beautiful shadow 2C. One day I will own them all. Love you guys videos.
My first CZ was the P07 duty. I still carry it to the day in the rotation. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
One of the finest guns I own. We have a couple videos up shooting it and even a competition video with it and a staccato check it out. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Got my OD P-09 two days ago. Last week, I bought a Hellcat, then the P09. These are my first new handgun purchases. I really love them both and they feel great in the hand, but the P-09 is the perfect hand gun for me. Can't wait to shoot both of them.
Love this one. It is my home defense handgun. Added a +5 base from strike industries. Now im ready to rock, 24 in the mag +1 in the chamber. Im with you on the decocker dont care much for safeties.
Quit telling people to buy CZs then they’ll be in stock when we want to buy our next one! Lol! Just kidding, thank you for the video! I love CZs, I have 2 Shadow 2s, SP01 Tactical Urban Gray, PCR, 97BD and P07! I’m just trying to decide which one to buy next! Keep up the content.
They can and they arnt expensive to replace but I guess if you’re going to be mindful of things like that you have to be in all cases. Thanks for watching Roy and please subscribe if you haven’t already!
I have P-09 40CAL, and I love it!! It's getting sent out to NCENGRAVERS, going to have some custom work done to it. All cosmetic, Other than the cut on the back of a slide to put a red dot. If you shoot good, gotta look good!! Haha. Thanks for sharing. You got a new subscriber. From, New Mexico. Stay safe and stay blessed. 👍🇺🇲✌
I love it when real shooters (not fake people that want to get free stuff on RU-vid), admit that CZ is better than Glock. Since there is more aftermarket stuff for Glock and more “clicks” to make money from Glock, it’s not a coincidence that the professional RU-vidrs magically prefer Glock with the crappier grip angles and plastic magazines/sights.
Yeah we don’t get anything from either company so we have no problem admitting it’s bad or good. We just love the brand and not only that you and everyone can see how we shoot in the videos. We perform WAY better with CZ than Glock any day of the week
@edTactical Yep, one thing I found out though from Glock guys is that they learned to aim by using their "thumb" instead of aiming with forefinger when holding them. I still see the Glock grip angle as a flaw but the people that learn to shoot with Glock's crappy grip angle is that they point with the top thumb. That makes no sense though. I use to take fencing classes (the swords), and we were taught to point with our forefinger while holding the weapon. This is why 1911's, Luger and CZ's point more naturally than Glock. Fencing with swords is 600 years of training and they say you "point" with the index and top fingers. Not your damn curved thumb that you have to do with the Glock.
Wish those prices were the same. P09's are easily over 500 now. There was a P07 with threaded barrel for 595 at my shop last year. Way higher than your prices.
Its nice i like my p 09 alot of value for low cost, grips could be better but the 19+1 for its size and weight is nice and factory sights are better than most
thank you for the video. never have been a gun enthusiast, gun fan or gun lover. but times have changed and having a gun is good for home protection. even my wife have been nagging me to get one in the recent past so off we went to a gun store today. I read a lot of thriller books and what is mentioned a lot as far as hand guns is concerned are glocks and sigsauers. never heard of CZs. I thought the glocks were to bulky and the sigsauers were a bit expensive. the sales rep pointed at the CZ 09, i handled it and to my surprise it was lighter than it looked. My wife even liked the CZ. Hence my youtube research on this gun. so far the reviews have been positive so i will be purchasing one next week and will go to the range and get comfortable with it. Thank you for your post. very informative.
I’m not brand loyal to any gun but if I was forced to be it would be CZ. I think in each class they surpass the competition. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
@@GSquaredTactical i have been watching CZ P07 vlogs in you tube and I may consider it but the guns store we went to yesterday only had the 09s and 10s. I'll ask if they carry the P07s. I am not planning to carry but the P07 may be more comfortable to handie than the P09 as a nubee gun user - may be :). Thank you for the input.
@70bonnevilleguy53 I think most of it is jumping on the bandwagon honestly. I’m at nearly 1k rounds without incident and 1000’s have reached out to me to let me know theirs have been great.
@@70bonnevilleguy53 yeah I think people saw how much attention the Honest Outlaw got because his had some malfunctions so I think most of the rest is exaggerated to say the least
Nice guns but if you don't train To shoot Double Action you should stick to Striker fired or single action only. Train out of the holster or bedside on target, double action pull and hit target. Decock and try again.
What did I said that makes you think I don’t do that but with limited/high prices ammo people just want to see it shoot. Literally every time we try to do stuff like that people complain that they just want to see us shoot the gun. Any training is done off camera because at days end we have to put up what people will watch.
I have a P09 in .40 now in 2023, it recoils well and is quite accurate. However, the trigger is very mediocre even after converting to a safety. It is strange how the P07/09 series triggers are so inferior compared to standard CZ75 triggers. They are very mushy by comparison.
I just always thought it was because of the all metal frame and they just had to include a more durable trigger but I agree. There are definitely other modified triggers but Factory I tend to agree with you
eh IDK, the trigger isn't that much better than a Block, it's a more complicated design and more expensive should it ever have to end up in an evidence locker
I have the CZ 75 in high polished stainless, but got this one from buds gun shop for $350! are you kidding me!!! this would have been a steal 10 years ago, with inflation this should be a $750 gun!!!! and sorry but it trashes anything in the group, Glock, Springfield, S&W whatever....its a better gun.
Absolutely it is. I tell people all the time you’ve got to shoot this thing to appreciate it. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTactical I have not had the opportunity to get to the range with it yet but I can say that out of the box ot has better sights than my glocks did but not quite as good as my Sig. That being said the new P09 cost me $375 out the door which is about half what my Sig 365xl cost and a couple hundred less that my glock 19 or glock 26 cost. I did find it on sale so it was also about $150 less than the P07 or P10c were listed at.
Great video! I bought one in my country. Tremendous gun. My only issue was that with less than 50 rounds, the extractor broke in half. With that little issue, feel I cant trust it 100%. Have any of you guys had the same problem?
@@GSquaredTactical Hehehe, no, not at all. Was not a pleasant surprise to see it breaking. Had waited a long time to own a CZ, and with the ejector breaking, it drove me nuts. I do IPSC and another of the guys in the range had the same issue. We were thinking that maybe it was just a bad batch that hit our country.
I’ve literally never had a single issue with any CZ and before Covid I sling 2500 rounds or more a month through various guns. My PO7 Duty has has 1000’s of rounds through it and my hand to God I’ve never had a single issue and it seems more smooth and accurate today than when new.
You’re the water head LOL 😂. But seriously we quit doing it. Creature of habit I guess. I’ve done it for years and have never had an extractor issue. However another subscriber said something about it and I agree it’s not good for the extractor so we stopped doing it
Wow haven’t heard that with this gun from anyone. Might have gotten a dud that’s usually my luck lol. I’ve got close to 5k through this thing to date without issue. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.
Did you dry fire the hell out of it? It's recommended to put an o-ring or something over the firing pin for dry fire unless you upgrade to the Cajun firing pin retainer pin. The stock ones are weak
I typically do not drive far my guns unless it is a couple of times when initially purchasing it or a couple of times during the table top review other than that if I pull the trigger is because it is going to go bang. We have never had issues with any of our CZ pistols, but thanks for the information. Cajun is an awesome company. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe and check out our website at gsquaredtactical.com
You won’t be disappointed with either, from our experience. Both are great pistols, I have a feeling you’ll start with the one whichever you choose and then want to get the other! Thanks for watching, and don’t forget to sub if you haven’t already!
I love every cz that Ive had(shadow 2, 75b omega, p09, p10c). If you want to carry, cz p07. If you want a nightstand gun that you could hand to a child or Your wife, p09 all day.
Yeah it would be nice to see some more in depth customization from the factory. Maybe that will be coming soon! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTactical well, it appears that companies do make optic baseplates for both the older P-09, and the new tactical P-09. The sights are still cheap, but those can be fixed. I'm confused as to what CZ was thinking. They made the older 4.54" barrel model, which would be great for carrying. Then, they discontinued it, and made the tactical model. I believe they have the same frame and slide, but the tactical model has a 5.2" barrel, due to the threaded barrel. I'd like to CC the tactical model, because I want to CC a full size 9mm. But, they ship it with 2 extended 21 round mags. Those would be hard to conceal. I suppose I can buy the newer tactical model, and purchase the regular 19 round mags for CCing it. It seems like they should offer 2 models of the tactical: one with the +2 extended mags as a duty pistol, and one with 19 round regular mags, for concealed carry.
The P09 is an amazing handgun. My favorite polymer handgun for sure. The only complaint I have on the P09 and P07 is the lack of texture on the backstrap. I sent mine off and had them textured. Talon grips help as well. Are you dropping a round in the chamber at 7:13???!!!! That is not good at all if so. Also, give that DA a try on that first round. Here is a great video that will be good for yall to check out (at the 11:14 mark they touch on dropping the slide with a round in the chamber): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1AuVd0qycrc.html
The DECOCKER SUCKS. It sends a lightning bolt of pain into my thumb that is so uncomfortable, almost every time I actuate it. I had to install the safety it was so bad. And this issue, my friends, IS a factory defect. So CZ is NOT perfect.
I'm waiting and checking everyday for vp9 to buy for non rape prices.... I'm also looking at one of these gotta see what they sell for.... I love my p10c so I know I'll enjoy a full size p09
@Maryvale Made I Bought mine several years pre pandemic for $479 plus tax!! Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Everyone thinks the newest gun they just bought is better than a proven 30 year old design that is simple and just works. Glock won't even feel a thing from the P09. Glock slap down. Surely you jest.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Even you and even us, as many CZs as we have owned and shot and as many Glocks as we have owned and shot you can’t help but put them in the same category. Not saying one is better than the other hence the question mark in the title. That’s up to you to decide, I take it you’ve made up your mind
Also CZ isn’t a “new” brand, but quickly becoming one to recon with across the board. I probably own more CZ’s than any other brand and if I owned more of another brand it would be Glock. Of course Glock is tried and true and of course it’s a great gun. However the Czech brand has been around a lot longer than 30 years in fact more like 102 years so yeah….
Also all day every dang day I shoot better with the p09 than the 17 I mean not even close. In fact anyone I’ve ever handed it to, to shoot has said the same and 2 of them went and bought one. One of them was a glocktard who now owns several CZ’s and ask where they’ve been all his life. I bet you’ve never even shot a CZ pistol. 30 years 🤔 how about 102 years of flawless design. It takes real talent to make hammer fired, striker fired, shotguns, and rifles and they all be awesome. Heck even Springfield surpassed Glock recently on the most sold list. Glock is a great gun and I’ve got one near me almost always but they are still tired and busted thus the reason they’ve tried to make smaller guns to compete with Sig etc.
@@GSquaredTactical the M&P 2.0's are better guns than Glocks, but I carry a Glock simply because its what I trained with, shot competition and know it better than any other brand. Nothing against CZ, they make fine weapons, but most new shooters have never heard of them. My local gun store that has been around for sixty years doesn't carry the brand. Glock, Smtih & Wesson, Springfield, Bersa, .......no CZ anything. Perhaps CZ has a marketing problem, not a gun problem.
I just surpringly won a P-09 in OD green on GunBroker. I bid $405 and didn't get outbid! Excited about trying it out! Great video! Where are y'all btw? You sound like me is why I ask. 😁
You gentleman scare me on the range. You should probably take a course or two in gun handling and safety. Take some advanced classes too, it can only help. You guys have a long way to go before you are gunmen. Please don't hurt yourselves or someone else in the process. Thank you and shoot on responsibly.
We always have trolls that try and degrade or pick out some small thing they may would not do but very rarely if ever offer evidence of implied unsafe handling. Either way I will not argue with you and I will rewatch the video and if we deem something unsafe we will correct said practice. Thanks for the advise.
I said we have trolls in the plural as if there have many many. Counting you only 2 people have ever made a single comment in 14 months of the channel and the other one said my finger touched the trigger area while gun was locked back pointed down range. Also RU-vid reviews each video before monetizing and if they deem it unsafe they won’t monetize the video and in extreme cases will take it down. This video has, was and still current is monetized.
Sometimes when showing how to take it down especially if it’s not Glock style things will be done on the tabletop that may seem questionable like people pulling the trigger inside their home doing a video. However that’s the reason we show that it’s unloaded before doing so. Now if we pointed it at someone while pulling the trigger even unloaded that my be different but I can’t find a place where that happened
Also the land we are shooting on we are there alone on roughly 300 acres and probably further than that to find a house. Also we are surrounded by hills or dirt mounds. When we pull the trigger during tabletop overviews if you will notice the gun is pointed towards a steep very low valley area with a creek at the bottom. I have children and the young man with me is like a son. I’d never do anything to harm myself or him nor he I
