Dude I’m looking at this gun for carry optics. Is it worth the money to get the optic ready one from cz custom if i already have a Cajun Shadow 2. I’m really digging this gun with the bull barrel.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment. This gun started life as a Shadow 2. I wanted a bull barrel CZ but did not care for the grip on the AO1 LD.. probably because I was familiar with the Shadow 2. I sent the gun to CZ Customs to have the Bull Shadow upper fitted and cut for the CZC RDS plates. I went this route because of the many RDS plate options and if I wanted to go back to irons, CZC offers a fixed rear sight plate as well. I am not going to be the one to tell you not to buy the optics-ready Shadow 2. If it is in your budget, go for it. The least expensive option would be to have your existing slide cut for an optic. If you want the bull barrel....do what I did and talk to CZ Customs. All of the prices should be on their website. My gun is a little on the hefty side, but it is a lot of fun to shoot. Great timing for your question. I just switched it back to the factory curved trigger. The reason is, starting in double action, the reach is a little too long for me to get good leverage on the trigger. In single action, the trigger was about perfect. I was able to easily pull the trigger straight to the rear. I might revisit the flat trigger after doing some comparison between the two.
