D-Day 80th GB: B-26 Marauder - Update #1

First update on my entry into the D-Day 80th Anniversary GB, the Monogram 1/48 B-26 Marauder. Going 1/48 on an airplane for the first time in 30+ years! I explain how I intend to display it and thus how I'll be building it; do an initial test fit, then get started on the wings and engines.
Should be fun!! Thanks Charlie, and I believe Al Wood as well.

Sweet! I did this kit last year as 'Flak Bait'. Good ole Monogram! This one is a bit tough, I went with resin engine nacelles from Loon Models which are pretty good. I am going to do the new ICM version maybe...

I made the solid nose version with additional machind gun packs on the fuselage and used monafilament fishing line to make the bombs look like they were falling naturally

This kit is goingbto be a beauty when finished, with aircraft my interest is 1/48th, but I would look at 1/72nd depending on whst the subject is,good luck with this build and I will be along for the journey, bedt regards from Australia

I hope your build goes well. I just finished the Airfix 1/72 scale kit from the 60's. Fitment was atrocious. It took a lot of filler and sanding. I managed to find both the Airfix 1/72 and the Monogram 1/48 Maruder kits at an IPMS show.
