....So I went into my local health food shop and saw this Haymax natural allergy barrier balm. Its very simple ingredients mainly oil and beeswax then a few other natural ingredients. It works by trapping the pollen in the balm before it enters the body. So in this video I have decided to make my own and it works the same. Its a nice product if you don't want to take medicine in the form of pills and tables for allergy relief. Stopping hey fever, pet allergies and dust.
➳ So In this video I used 3 grams of beeswax to 2.5 teaspoons of oil, but I usually just eyeball the ratios. I use more oil than beeswax to give it the right consistency. You can keep it in the fridge but as the beeswax makes the balm more solid at room temperature I just carry the pot around with me, as with allergies you never know when you might need it!
➳ When melting I find it easier to melt the coconut oil and the beeswax at the same time, I use a double boiler technique so placing the ingredients in a bowl over another bowl or saucepan filled with hot water
➳ You can just keep your balm with the 2 ingredients in or you can add an essential oil. I used organic lavender oil... iherb.co/23BPyvEg
... Apply a layer of this balm around your nostrils and upper lip, then you can also apply some on your cheekbones and around you eyes in a figure of 8.
THANK-YOU for watching

Love your video.I’ had a go with your recipe and all went well ,and I’m delighted with the results.Have been using Haymax for some years now,so this info is really appreciated,as I’ll never run out of barrier balm again.I always have beeswax, coconut oil,and lavender oil , always to hand at home. Also the cost being so much lower by using your recipe,is a real bonus.I put my ingredients all together in the microwave, poured the heated liquid into a suitable container.Let it cool down ,and hey presto,I was ready to go within an hour of making the homemade balm,Once again ,thanks for your lovely video.Regards Tom.

Jolene P Also forgot to mention just do 30 seconds at a time, check to see if it’s turned to liquid, and just keep up with 30 second intervals, until you get the desired result.I’ve also used this formula/ mixture as a polish for my leather boots/ belts etc.Gives a nice protective shine.Good luck making your own ,if you are going to have a go at it.Regards Tom.

Hi Amani, thank you very much I'm glad you found it helpful :) I got my grater from a hardware shop, but online they would be easy to buy I'm sure, kitchen/home shops can also sell them :)

Hi, the mini grater is actually for garlic, ginger and nutmeg. I worked in a kitchen shop and you can buy it there. Really cute. Hope this helps.
