The manga that got me to look beyond the standard shounen stuff. The first manga that got me to look up and watch the anime version. One of the few anime openings I rarely skip, even when rewatching. One of the very few anime I have ever rewatched in fact. And probably a huge reason why I still occasionally read shojou manga as a 22 year old dude.

D.N.Angel was the first manga I ever read. To this day, after many years, I still remember its charm and beauty and continue being bitter about it never being finished. I hope that someone will one day complete it.

This particular song, not just your version... It saved my life... No freaking joke, no edge, none of that. The very heartfelt meaning of this song is what saved my friggin life. That should say something about how important the message it delivers is. That no matter how bleak it is, how painful it is... It can be a catalyst for growth. A desire to aspire to a greater height. That good and evil, dark and light... They're just names we ascribe to concepts we can just barely grasp. But it takes much more to truly adopt both sides, to walk that line. Two sides of the same coin. part of a greater whole. My despair, while still it comes out from time to time, will not conquer. I will break through the false happiness, and I will break through what seems to be a veil of darkness. For what lies beyond them both is the true self. THAT is what saved me.

Flute Hero Years ago Vic Mignona did an english version of this song but only the tv size length. Now Amanda used those lyrics and did the rest of the song’s lyrics herself, that’s why both of their names are creditted

That's sooo nostalgic. I was 7 when this anime had been on TV. I always watched this or other anime like Inuyasha , Kekkaishi, the detective Conan or Onepiece with my family eating dinner. Good old days and I'm so happy that I was spending all my childhood watching great anime.

I recognized much of the lyrics ever since I found out Vic Mignogna sang an official English version of the opening and looked it up out of curiosity. Full versions have a tendency to differ from what's shown during the anime the song pertains to.

This was very good and I liked it a lot :) The vocals, translation, and production value are great My only problem is that the instrumentals/audio mixing aren't the same as the original... like, I miss the little gong/bell and percussion/drum accents that used to go after parts like 0:52 and 1:17

I loved this. Finally a full English version. There are other ones which leads me to say what about the other version of the lyrics? I loved those lyrics I grew up with those lyrics I didn’t know these. Maybe is was a different translation? I don’t know but I know there is a cover of that but it’s different to this? Is this the original? Because this would be my second favorite because the other lyrics are more full/ beefy and speak to me. Not that these don’t it’s just I know and am used to the other lyrics...
