WATCH AT 2x PLAYBACK SPEED in 1440p :)
---
I'm happy to finally showcase my biggest achievement in Trackmania Nations Forever. This world record was the longest I have ever spent on a single map and these 3 replays took approximately 340 hours of playtime.

Q&A:
Why D15-Endurance?
From the very beginning my motivation was to be the first person to complete this map with all 10 shortcuts without crashing. On October 6, 2019, I uploaded my first D15 run to TMX; at that time I placed 6th with a 7:16.76, roughly 5 seconds slower than Wirtual's world record. I knew I could push the time much lower and that's what I did. Another reason was that I did not have a world record in the Nadeo campaign of TMNF, only in TM2 Stadium, which is much less prestigious.
How hard is the shortcut?
The problem with it comes from the blind set-up and the irregularity of the hill. You don't really have anything to base your judgement, for example regarding when to start turning and whether you're too fast or too slow, because you don't see what's below you and there's no scenery to line yourself up. I had to develop proper muscle (finger?) memory in order to be consistent, but then I also had to factor in that the hill is a bumpy ramp, so even with a perfect set-up, you could still get a slowdown or rotate in an unwanted way. I'd say it's on par with D14, but much harder if you go for it 10 times.
Is a sub 7 minute time humanly possible?
My fastest ever pace was a low 7:02.xx and I crashed on lap 6. In my honest opinion it isn't possible. You'd need your average lap to be 41.99, excluding the first lap which is always slower, so assuming you drive a world record lap 1 (42.87), you still need a 41.90 AVERAGE flying lap. Anything below 42 is hard to get.
Will you improve your time?
Only if someone challenges it ;)
