Goldberg is not a bad goalie but against teams like Iceland he very clearly struggles to keep up while Julie can get to that higher level without a problem. Orion did his homework really well.

@@BB-rm3xi She did'nt because Bombay had a clear bias towards Goldberg and you should know that already. Infact that was likely a big factor in why he decided to make Orion the coach instead. Orion is a NHL level player who could be objective and truly evaluate the team's strengths and weaknessess. Gordon was a good coach but it was easy to see he could'nt be objective with the ducks anymore. The fact that Julie sat out for all but the last round of the shootout would've caught Orion's eye immediately.

Same here, that’s what he wanted from the Ducks, I didn’t like him either but once he gave out his speech about Confidence on playing real hockey and real defense, that was an amazing speech

Kinda tough but he was fair. Plus, he reminds me of coach carter. Dude wanted them to be better outside of hockey.

Whether Brandon Adams and Keenan Thompson get along in real life or not is their business, not mine. However, I would've preferred that the former wouldn't have moved away and instead, the latter stayed behind in Anaheim. Sure, some people aren't going to agree, but you could incorporate some of the second's attributes (i.e. knucklepuck) to the first. I preferred Jesse to Russ. That's all, I'll say.

It might have something to do with those scouts watching him play in D2. They wanted to see if the rumors were true about how awesome of a hockey player he was.

haha, he didn't go pro. He became a lawyer as shown in The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. It would've been cool if he did though

Of course as padzyk mentioned, Banks became a lawyer (like Bombay, who also was a damn great player), which is how life often goes- even the best don't continue with the sport or craft they are outstanding at. It also goes with the speech about confidence Orion gives, because he knows the majority of them might not continue with hockey after high school.

Banks coming from a wealthy family like much of the Varsity team probably had something to do with it. WASP Elitists.

Coach Carter only required a 2.3 (C+) average.

To show the uniqueness. Also, Charlie really kept the spirit of the original Ducks. He wore it when he was doing other activities like rollerblading. 🛼 🏒

That team won the Gold Medal against the world's best. So it makes sense. They were better than any other kids their age.

@@intellectualmind9512Right! If u pay attention to, they mention a USA team is good publicity for the school. So they pretty much using the ducks a a prop to get publicity for the school.

The school probably had a JV program. However, Ducks players got athletic scholarships to attend Eden Hall Academy. So, this supplanted other squads and did away with tryouts. At least that's my guess. I don't really know. What do you think?

At my high school, they had a JV/Varsity football showdown. That didn’t have a whole lot of hype.

We never had a JV/Varsity showdown. When I went to high school, depending on the sport, there were maybe a few freshmen (for sure sophomores) that were so good, they played Varsity. I had a classmate in 7th grade who got to run cross country with Varsity for at least one race. I just saw your question was about hockey- we didn't have hockey at our high school; the hockey guys played club hockey.

During my high School soccer we got varsity vs jv scrimmages.. always hype, but not enough to attract attendance and sports commentator lol

Keith De Rosas I don’t think he would have been like, see u layer suckers. He really likes his friends and was mad he was going to play without them and with the jerk varsity players.

Probably because Bombay always let him start over Julie. Mostly because of loyalty and success. However, Orion comes in and changes things up. Yes, it was ultimately for the betterment of the team, but change can be difficult to accept. Well, at least at first, anyway. Not for everyone, but for many.

Dude played in the NHL, somewhere that maybe 1 or 2 of both the JV/Varsity squad would achieve, if lucky. I highly doubt he would need to explain and they should just trust him to know what he's doing.

Definitely. It might have been a good idea. It was an unnecessary headache.

He's not soft but in the 1st movie his mother warned Bombay Charlie can't handle changes it's hard 4 him. Charlie is resentful Bombay was a father figure .

Writers: You know how Jesse Hall hates “cake-eaters”, even coined the term? Creators: yeah, so? Writers: How about we make the antagonists a group of cake-eaters! Jesse Hall’s arch-nemesis's?! Creators: Brilliant! What else you got? Writers: And to throw logic out the window, lets NOT include Jesse Hall! Creator: Tell Me More! Writers: And to make sure no one remembers him, we will have Charlie bring up Banks’s rich background during a scrimmage instead of Jesse, split Jesse Hall’s personality/character traits/ charisma between Charlie and Russ. And to top it off, there will be no mention of Jesse Hall in the film like we did the 5 other kids that did not return for D2. Creator: We Have a box-office hit. With you writers on the team, their will no doubt be a D4 next year!

Well, Brandon Adams (played Jesse) and Kenan Thompson (played Russ), apparently didn’t get along at all during the production of D2. They were getting on each other’s nerves and were at each other’s throats on camera and off camera. And when Brandon found out that Kenan was returning for D3, Brandon decided not to return because he and Kenan kept fighting all the time.

Kenan Thompson did D2 right before he became one of the biggest teen stars in Hollywood.

Minnesota Moose. It was a team of the deceased IHL. We had a team too where I'm from. The Kansas City Blades.

The football team at my high school had one. It didn't count against either team's record, though. At least I think it didn't.

Even though he made varsity, he didn’t want to be on the varsity team, he wanted to stay with the ducks, and plus ever since he joined them in the 1st movie, it changed him…at first he was like an enemy to the ducks but now he was closer to them and now friends with them, he didn’t wanna be the bad guy again like he was before in the 1st movie
