Just bought a 2014 Nav Titanium so I’m loving this! Awesome content man. I’ve read some bad stuff about D40s since I bought it so I’m stoked you are loving yours so much!
I've got the 2010 stx Spain built 140 kW D40 with the yd25 TD. We got it with a tune I'm making around 150-155 kW to the wheel and getting hey average in fuel economy of 8.8 to the 100ks we have had it about 7 years now and still love it
Hey mike, seen her videos before when u had I believe the turbo hilux and ur rota bmw, looking at purchasing a yd25 d22 2004 model, would you say it’s a good motor?
So what most people don't realise is that the manufacturer detunes their non high performance vehicles they all do it especially with 4x4s so when you go in for a tune they pretty much just taking the restriction code off it.. and the reason they detune them is so they don't break an under powered 4x4 isn't going to break internals drive shafts gearbox's and they over engineer them too so under powered and over engineered equals strength this is why the land cruisers are bullet proof because Toyota has a bloody v8 turbo diesel and its making 110kw and all the other brands are doing that on half the cylinders so yea these engines are all 190kw from factory but you'll start braking some things if your not careful when driving it so next time you get a tune they aren't gaining hp from your engine they are just unlocking the goods
Chur brother, you should get rid of the DPF system and the ERG, i did my 2016 toyota Regius (hiace), thru on a bullet (coby muffler) and WOW, the fuel consumption is impressive my bro, now just gotta do a dyno and tune, cause erbody wana be like Mike 😂😂😂, chur da bol
Hey bro, fellow kiwi here. What's your economy now, open highway cruising with the cruise control on. Impressive increase by the way. But what I'd really like to know is what your torque maps were like compared before and after
I own a D40, but I am curious about the lag of acceleration when the car is stopped and I want to go quickly, so it takes a time meanwhile the tuebo boost, before of it it the aceleration is slow.
This video answers so many questions! Was Looking at getting a throttle controller for my colorado but after watching your video I'll Definitly get a tune instead. The results of your tune are impressive! 😳
Cheers Matt. I was in the exact same boat as you, about to buy an iDrive when I reached out to Bogga. So glad I did, thing feels incredible now. I'm a bit of a menace in the truck now to be honest 😅
You may have convinced me to get my d22 done! I’m certain mine is having EGR issues, I feel like it’s always lacked power compared other yd25 navs i’ve been in. I shall look into it! Melbourne too so i’ll let bsc know you sent me. Good stuff Mike 🤙
Hey Julian, definitely recommend it. Bogga will take care of you for sure. Love driving my Nav now, puts a smile on my face every time I put my foot down.
Been looking at buying a d40 and have read more negative reviews then good, have you had any problems with yours and what should I be looking out for on these when buying
Hey! I’ve owned two (first one for stolen) and have had 0 issues with both. I put a lot of ks on them towing the race cars around Australia. Just make sure they have a good service history & make sure you service it regularly yourself!
@@itsmikelake when it comes to kms on the vehicle what would be an ideal number or would that just depend mostly on the service history and how well it’s been looked after
Awsome great content , how ever im in NZ but will be digging into getting mine done when i have installed all the goodies exhaust etc . Can you msg me where you got the spacers from please ,
@@itsmikelake ok thanks. im not a big fan of loud 4cyl diesel engines. but i would like a little better exhaust performance without the tractor sound. lol
You might have to make sure you actually have a DPF. I've got a 2013 auto and they don't have one. Easiest way to tell is by looking for a DPF light on dash when you start the car
