The DA has suspended its Member of Parliament, Renaldo Gouws after a video of him using racist hate speech surfaced online. An outraged public has put much pressure on the party. FULL INTERVIEW HERE: www.enca.com/top-stories/da-s...
The Whataboutism from white people who are "obviously not racist" speaks volumes. They'd rather comment, "but what about Malema" instead of calling out a racist. Malema sings a struggle song that black people sang under oppression during Apartheid The same Apartheid that a certain minority still owe a lot of their overrepresentation in wealth in this country to. Go back to your gated communities with your solar panels and generators and cry harder. Maybe then we'll think your victims of racism
This Gouws has served a purpose. We are once again talking about the apartheid skid mark of racism. Most of the time we all pretend we can't see it but its foul smell is undeniable and we can smell it everywhere. So once again, we need to talk about it and come up with real solutions to sort this 💩 out. Let's go people 👏
Absolutely agree with every word. Rascism is and will ALWAYS be difficult to define. Those who purport to be completely free of prejudice are the very worst form of unbridled hypocrisy. See it every day in every way, particularly prevalent in well heeled society.
They don't know you DA. They must ask Mmusi Maimane, Patricia DE Lile, Herman Mashaba and many more. I am not surprised. Show them flames show them your true colours. Turn South Africa into Nyanga and Langa
@@DuitserSwart yes, because you stole their votes. You were so hungry to be in gorvenment, you even comprise your standards. Phala Phala is no longer an issue? Any man that changes his principle depending on who he faces, is not worthy of being a leader. God bless 🇿🇦
The difference is those people you like, can talk but get nothing done. The DA has the record to proof it with most successfully run municipalities. Fancy words dont fix the problems of this country neither a chip on the shoulder.
@@alwaysquestionyouropinions1119 I am not lying though. I am talking about the reality. You want me to bring in the George building that collapsed under DA watch. Where DA appointed inspectors?
He's a black so that's not going to happen, only whites , Indians and Coloureds will get charged or accused for racist remarks or racism....blacks are angels .....that's the South Africa we live in...
Good for the DA? Not at all. That's just 1 person there being protected in that group. And Western Cape nje is full of them, the DA does nothing about people like this, we all saw it in Pheonix during the Unrest.
Move on and stop living in the past. Is that what you wanting for White people to despise you? Cuz you doing a hell of a good job of it. @@nomalungelongcete5875
I would like to get a description of what the DA vetting process includes. I just watched a few videos on this guy's channel and i can't believe the DA would let a character like this represent them in a country that is "racially" very sensitive. The videos that are still online are offensive and some are so personalized to some people that are in government. The DA have scored an own goal here... This guy has most certainly exposed the caliber of people they want to lead us. Eish...

That's not true. He it was a retaliation to black people singing "kill the Boer, kill the farmer" to show black how it feels if people call for you to be slaughtered.
This was a profoundly dumb move on his part. He could have gone on to live a normal life , but he chose to go into politics. I understand people can change for the better , but if you risk bringing skeletons from your past into an organisation ,you are being selfish. As a representative he should've addressed preemptively.
Hence the court case. The context is different but you won't realize that because you and Gouse are the same. They must just arrest anyone who is defending this racist, clearly you see nothing wrong with him you are the same.
If Renaldo Gouws is doing many good things in the community where he lives, good for him. Let the people around him assess whether his sorrow over his disgusting words and attitudes is genuine. Yhey will know! But I repeat what I daid on another platform....how on earth did he get to be on the National candidates list? He should not have been there. Homework, DA. Let other parties/groups deal with their own racist people if there are.
ALL politicians who have used hate speech should be suspended ... THERE ARE PLENTY OF THEM. Julius is the LEADER OF THE PACK. Zuma too! They defended the 'Kill the boer' song as political ... so many farmers murdered 😢can we forget so soon?
Can you bring my uncle Moses who was killed by the state in 86 for refusing to sellout? Before you blame malema ask how did we create that song? You forced us n sadly it's just a song. Kids got killed families moved land taken n still kept. Attend the past before we talk. We all have to balance the scale. Forget this Mandela bs
Sorry DA first bit of pressure and u give in. I am absolutely not a da voter but really. U are willing to look over a lot of crime and things that were severely damaging to a l9t of people but without hesitatiin u cut ronaldo out. Ai ai aii😊
DA anti apartheid since 1959 under a different name same party. You misinformed about DA they fought hard against apartheid. Check your history facts and listen to citizen concerned and don’t get fake info from EFF and MK
The DA has never hidden their racism. We were just too under educated to realize we were being taken for P038. The DA creates a campaign, using the most inappropriate, racist coloured accent, in an election campaign, and they have no idea why it's offensive to me as a coloured person. They would never put out an election commercial geared towards indians, using the most stereotypical indian accent, but it's okay to mock our accent as coloured people? Who says, " Nieeee Man!" In an election ad. It sounded like a Nandos campaign. This party is so out of touch with what is okay these days and what is not. To me, this tweet should have popped up on a background search. But I suspect because he was a yt man, no check was probably done. As people of color, we have to work twice as hard to get half as far. I can't even work as an administrator if my social media had this anywhere. Steenhuisen has the education of a call center agent, no offense, yet he is in line for the presidency? The privilege is real in SA, and now we get to peak behind the blue curtain. Julle kak sal uit kom nou. And now, you can't blame the ANC. You're our government now. You're about to be scrutinized.
@pauldyersmith3685 My friend, the DA, is not a protected class. They are part of our ruling government now, which means they are open to the same scrutiny as the ANC. There is a difference between being negative and assessing something objectively.
Very eloquently put... ''As people of colour, we have to work twice as hard to get half as far. I can't even work as an administrator if my social media had this anywhere''...this line hit home bro
Lol how did the emotion boy even make it to Parliament. It goes to show politicians should take an IQ test before they are even allowed to join political parties
Renaldo Gouws said Vicky momberg was wrong and fairly convicted. He then went onto criticizing Julius malema saying his kill the boer song was hurtful and then he said that if he said this and made a comparitive slur using the K word and said see it would hurt others, which is what he did in a comparative drama. I don't like Gouw's ideas, but making an unsavoury comparison is not hate speach. Just because some people are too foolish to comprehend the intent does not mean one has to join their dullness of comprehension of intent.
So I see DA fans coping massively. (Un)fortunately the best thing to do is to stop creating an environment for racist people to feel comfortable instead of trying to bring EFF into this.
@@user-kz3ng1vj6n Cape Town is a city Western Cape is a province. And the inequality index says there's more inequality in WC than anywhere in South Africa.
After watching the video, I am disgusted. There is no excuse for what was said in that video. He should not be suspended, he should be removed completely. He was well above 18 years of age in the video so his judgement was fully matured and I have no doubt that his opinion has not changed in his mind. I have understanding for the people who went to war and for the people of colour who suffered from aparteid to still have their same judgement but this person went through neither struggle. Do not fall into the easy trap of thinking that every white person in South Africa has these views. I believe that these views stemmed from the people who raised him. Saddening and disgusting at the same time.
@@BbeeM I'm not sure what you mean by "Ask Musi behind closed doors", but saying that even if he was 1 years old it wouldn't make a difference is a bit over the top. Of course it would...
I know a Ronaldinho, a Ronaldo, another Ronaldo, all straddle the upper layers of stardom in footballing achievement. This one is the Ronaldo of racism, South Africa is hoarding many more like this superlative racist star.
Aaaaa your hatred is sickning, you didnt see the full video did you, thanks for proving how you are just sitting waitning to show your hate, this is the real problem with SA, look in the mirror and see what an Racist look like.
Singing whatever versus actually killing, which is worse?? Whites actually killed blacks for centuries and still kill them to this day, but it is only outrageous when whites are on the receiving end of the stick, isn't it!?
"kill the Boer" is a song that emerged against a regime committing extreme human rights abuses, dispossession, slavery, hatred and state sanctioned murder and torture. But some whites will never admit how utterly evil apartheid was. The victimhood and whining from some white South Africans, who were lucky to live through a bloodless regime change with all their privileges in tact is shameful and embarrassing.

You guys are seeing small imagine us in accounting firms we are expected to be speaking English & Afrikaans on an entry job with a drivers license 😢 tough to watch DA destroying us now
The D.A. must pull out and go back to being the opposition. A spokesman for the ANC is already calling them opportunistic. Reminding them that the ANC is in charge. He forgets, they did not get a majority, they do not call the shots.
You think so --- the DA didn't put themselves there --- they were voted there --- and they will stay there. The main issue here is sour grapes because of that ---- and the fact that the stealing and decay and the ruining of the infrastructure is over now ---- there won't be any "misappropriation" of state funds anymore --- it will go towards repairing South Africa
@chrisjan1703 do you mean 400 years. You can't liken that slavery to racism. My tribe also practised slavery, ancient Rome practised slavery no one disputes that, it was the norm at that time. What we abhor is the use of race as an excuse. The very temerity to claim that you abuse people because you believe they are racially inferior. That is what makes the events of 1652 to 1994 in South Africa abhorrent and atrocious. Its in the same league as Nazi Germany. Why do you not want to acknowledge that? Ordinary Germans also suffered under Nazi rule themselves but they still acknowledge that their situation was much much better than what the Jewish people went through during Nazi rule. Meanwhile in SA apartheid and racism are defended.
In anyway....he cannot serve us in South Africa for South Africans please bring another one choose or someone from black community....you have lots of them mos in your organisation 😮
I may be wrong, but the clip could have been leaked by those blacks within DA. What is worrying is that you don't have them confronting their white leadership on the racist rot that is still within their ranks. If they can't find their voice against racism from within, how can we trust them to lead?
@@fergie9694 Always moving the goal post typical , Nobody is talking about Malema and even if we were Malema already went to court and was found not guilty
Very strong? Lol what a joke. DA continues with its games of "we are never wrong". Imagine if no African person said anything about it.... then what? 😂
@juliasxolani44 he says it all the time, but they call him "racist" and "enemy number 1"... "he will crash the economy". These people want us to bhayiza for their benefit.
Of couse the vetting process is thorough this guy, Gouws, is right on brand. Accordign to the DA he did nothing wrong, was their perfect representative. 👌

With that exact remark you being racist. One bad apple in the DA and you calling them all racists. Why don't you give them the benefit of the doubt. Sickening!!! How you all judge the White's poorly.
The DA does not support racism. It is very clear in action and policy that the DA does not support racism. The idea however is invoked by emotion understandably however every race would rebel if the DA had to support racism and it would see massive backlash as the younger generation especially is completely against any racist ideology
I have to disagree with you on the younger generation being against racism, as I've been viewing many hatred comments from the youth saying "Settlers" must go back home, etc.
