You think it's moving forward in your delusional world. What's happening is a replica of Bantustands, with Cyril as the Prime Minister and Hellen Zille as the Governor representing the Oppenheimers. This 5yr term shall shumbles. DANC is not sustainable. It shall be rejected by the masses.
The cabinet has not even been announced yet. Even if some people think that the DA has malicious intent, why can't they wait for them to make their policies before protesting them. It's not like we don't have a constitution and a court system designed to uphold that constitution, those options will still be available to them. Also, the DA can't propose policies which are not supported by the ANC either since the ANC is still the largest party.
@@nomfunekonosilela3895 That's not really how it works. All members of parliament have to vote on it, so it's not just two people. The ANC are still stronger than the DA numerically.
It's not subversion of the electorate. This is the reality of the election results. ANC can not pass laws on its own anymore, so they are attempting to navigate that reality in a way that keeps the government functional. ANC and the DA are the two largest parties, so their policies are the most important to voters.
The ANC is the most powerful party and that can be proven domestically and internationally (BRICS) where is the "powerful DA that can veto" getting it's power from?
@@esilevinichronicles4269 What do you mean BRICS, isn't BRICS a free trade agreement? Free trade agreements are not for power, they're for boosting the economy by way of increased trade. Obviously BRICS has not worked very well for South Africa.
@@Nick-po8sf Can you unpack BRICS in its entirety? Do you know what those trade agreements result in? The power plays between BRICS and EU, which side would you be choosing if you were on the side of the oppressed? Those whose doors have never been opened when the EU/ US formations were dominating the global politico-economic setup. Even when doors were opened, they were marginal and lacking genuine commitment
@@esilevinichronicles4269 Well if it's positive for South Africa that's good. But so far it appears to have had no impact (maybe even negative impact) on wealth or lifting people out of poverty.
@jameskillu9171 I would have thought such bill would've been signed with a panel group of members from both parties, with Clerk of Court reading all abstracts of the bill and members from either parties would have options to agree/ disagree then made corrections, This bill should've been singed by 2 persons but by everyone involve
@jameskillu9171 Mbalula is a small fish in the pond, the ANC was sold by Ramaphosa. The real deal happened between Ramaphosa and the DA, Mbalula and the rest have no clue what was agreed on behind closed doors.
And that if a freaking good thing, because the ANC has done an atrocious job. Stop going on about minimum wage, how many people are unemployed because of ANC policies
Not an unbiased analyst at all. He brings a lot of ideology and personal preferences with him. By the way, if The Market deams a person more desired, the market is correct. Everyone is subject to The Markets. To deny this is foolish and denial of reality.
DA giving this dude chestpains 😂. Keep parotting the Gupta brief to Bell Pottinger. WMC😂. My man, when you have to pay R40 for a loaf of bread instead of R15 you will learn thr value of the markets. The world works the way it does whether you like it or not. Bitter pill to swallow, I know 😢
100% CORRECT! I could not have said it better! R40 for a loaf of bread - that's when these people with big mouths will suddenly wake up and will have to eat their words because they won't have enough money to buy bread, so they will have to settle for eating their words.
@0761ZoRO Call me whatever, doesn't change the fact that this guy is a poor analyst who has no sense impartiality. This is why we don't watch mainstream media anymore. Or have you forgotten when the Gov, Media, Doctors and Scientists lied to the world about covid? Use your own brain and stop being gullible. And also going around calling people "clever blacks" makes you sound stupid.
I can't comment directly because if I mention a word JEW ,DA , IFP and sellout in one sentence my comment is removed and I get a notification that I am spreading hate speech.
So if there was free speech you’d be able to comment and others could write their comments as well. That would be a civilized country, shame we’re not and surrounded by people hurt with words. Smh
It may be a de facto veto for the DA, but the same exists for the ANC as neither has a majority. To say this is not democracy is incorrect, it's exactly how democracy works. SA just isn't used to no party having a majority. That's not to say he's incorrect in everything he says.
Correction: NO Statement of Intent can override the SA CONSTITUTION, which clearly clearly states that the forming and awarding of CABINET POSTS belongs, with the unequivocal exclusion of anyone else, SOLELY TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC. NO AGREEMENT CAN OVERRIDE THIS. Such an agreement simply has NO LEGS to stand out for it is an AGREEMENT IN VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION!! It's what we call in DUTCH LAW: een NIETIGE overeenkomst. That is: you don't even have to destroy it: IT JUST DOESN'T EXIST BECAUSE IT IS AN AGREEMENT TO VIOLATE THE LAW!!
Market market market, am so tired of hearing that, the market man, Ramaphosa and his markets what have they done in the past sux years, zero. Screw the markets. But ke in all fairness the unions have been weaker and weaker in the past 30 years may be ke this coalitionwill accelerate that, delivery is unknown in black areas period!! Am not sure about a class society.
The majority of voters have given the DA a mandate to oversee the affairs of the country, we must not shy away from this prestigious role. Let us establish early that we are in charge!
The time for sound biting and rhetorics of nationalisation of Mines and banks is over, I would like to see tangible decisions, that is to put food on the table especially the black and white unemployed youth, people think about the working class only but what about the society and unemployed and business people, half of the population is not working, DA and the ANC are the protagonists
This is a waste to listen to. Read the room brother! Of cos there will be parties that anchor look at the results. I think many of these academics are ill informed. Do you think the ANC is stupid.
thank you, thank you for gutting this guy short...he is talking utter nonsense ... should not have been allowed onto the programme in the first place...
The objective is to alleviate poverty, and the mechanism by which we do that is through a free market. Which creates the efficiencies to grow the economy. Look at any success story, like Singapore. Policies should change of how we solve this.
In most countries the views expressed here would correctly be seen as marginal fringe left wing dogma. Please let’s hear less from these tired old hacks and more from young critical thinkers facing up to 21st century challenges.
Just because he is speaking above your head doesn't deligitimize what he is saying. Your lack of comprehension or intellectual laziness is a you problem. Deal with it.
Yet another you tube anti DA African anti market anti capitalist anti white anti middle class etc etc. Boring and one track minds. Sir what have you done for the dominant black poor.
Helen Zille's moonshot pact failed to attract the hearts of the people; she can't seek to bring it in through the back door. The worst enemy of black SA is the DA.

Democracy that govern by racialism hated the rainbow one caused it included the minorities. An ethnic war is about to erupt in South Africa and it will be an unfair war.The Gonoqua tribes that descend from Andries Botha must be trained in the army.Khoisan tribes are undermined by the African tribes and their governments. We know that we are on our own in this world.I am a product of Griqua'xhosa and mfengu the tribes that was fighting in this Eastern Cape.Lopk at the ANC government army only Africans.Where is the coloureds and please don't tell us of the coloured sellouts.Africans have voted you out of obtaining majority.Lets embrace each other and fix this country.
If he bothered to read the DA manifesto or even read the Western Cape or Basic research, he would have stumbled upon an article of Mr Alan Winde praising the Khayelitsha hospital staff as snapshot of how Alan Winde views public sector employees. 😖 How embarrassing
The more I'm listening to these speakers and what they have to say, more than ever I can see just how racially divided this country is. And those African people think they have it hard, try being a white person in this Country.
I am amazed you can't see where the solution lies, or rather where your problem lies: your arrogant refusal to apologize for apartheid and your unwillingness to pay reparations🤔
@@0761ZoRO WTF Dude!! Why should I apologise when I had nothing to do with Apartheid, just because I have white skin. Then you should apologise for being a racist because you have black skin. With your attitude it is you that is the ARROGANT.... one..
I don't think this UNISA lecturer is qualified to speak as he seems to know very little about how an economy works. Listen Mametlwe Sebei, all you are worried about is colour instead of promoting the idea of sharing power since the ANC has lost its majority. The DA is well represented in relation to the demographics of this country, unlike most other political parties that are not at all representative of such. Please get over your racist rhetoric - it's getting stale now. We don't care about race or colour - people just want a working and growing economy that creates jobs to improve the lives of ALL people regardless of race, ethnicity or colour.
This academic is denounced by some in the comment section only because he is telling the truth. The terms of this Statement of Intent are toxic and anti-black.
